In accordance with good manufacturing practices, the barley shall be cleaned using standard grain cleaning equipment to remove dockage, foreign matter, and stones. In addition, the cleaned barley must be free of insect and rodent infestations, fumigants, and other foreign odors or substances. The finished product must adhere to all Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act regulations. The barley will be processed using good manufacturing practices.
