Features

HALOX® Specialty Inhibitors provide formulators with additional tools to increase hydrophobicity and adhesion in challenging environments. The performance attributes of HALOX® 550 lead to overall improvements to barrier properties through both the formation of domains within the pores of a coating in addition to an affinity for bonding at the metal surface.

The Sustainable Future

Sol Gel Technology

Benefits
  • Thin film applications (<10 μm)
  • Easy to disperse
  • Post-addable
  • Reduces white rust on galvanized
  • Reduces black rust on Galvalume™
  • Increases hydrophobicity
  • Improves anti-fi ngerprint
  • No effect on gloss
  • Compatible with water and solvent based coatings - Reduces silver, aluminum oxidation
  • High temp stable
  • Non-fl ammable
  • pH stable
  • Low freeze point.
Advantages
HALOX® 550 provides excellent corrosion resistance in thin-film applications. It reduces white rust on galvanized steel and black rust on Galvalume™ substrates. Furthermore, it reduces the oxidation of silver, steel and aluminum alloys.
