- Capsaicin is an active component of chili which are plants belonging to the genus Capsicum. Capsaicin is the main capsaicinoid followed by dihydrocapsaicin and nordihydrocapsaicin. Capsaicin is a very pungent thermogenic ingredient.
- It has a wide use in weight management and in increasing the metabolic activity like in pre-workouts etc. It is also used to increase the absorption and bioavailability of many actives.
- One of the major challenges of using capsaicin in formulations is its pungency (burning sensation) while handling during production or after consumption while it passes the stomach. It burns so hard like one has bitten a chili and it leads to uncomfortable stomach cramps.
- Benefits
Encapcin is very tiny beadlets (US 30# size, about 0.5mm average diameter). These beadlets can be mixed easily with other powders or beadlets to give a homogenous mix.
