    Features & Benefits

    Background

An uncommon sight outside of its native Morocco, Argan fruit resembles a large olive. The fruit comprises a fleshy pulp and compact kernel.

    Benefits

Argan Oil benefits from a rich abundance of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that uses essential fatty acids to hydrate the face, skin, hair and nails and lock in moisture. Popular in a number of skincare and therapeutic applications, studies have shown Argan Oil to have a beneficial effect on the treatment of dry skin and a well-documented emollient effect that makes it ideal in anti-aging and moisturizing product formulations. The oil is non-greasy and can be easily absorbed into the skin without irritation. As well as a popular ingredient in skin care products, Argan Oil is a popular addition to hair care products, known to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. While less commonly used than many alternative oils, Argan Oil can also be used in food applications. In this format, the kernels are toasted before coldpressing. Culinary Argan Oil is noted for its golden-brown colouration, slightly toasted aroma and nutty taste.
