- light cardiotonic action
- vasodilatation of abdominal and coronary blood vessels
- anxiolytic in the treatment of insomnia

Characteristics of the extract
  • European production
  • Ethanol extraction
  • High quality profile of the components:
  • Vitexin-2-ramnoside and hyperoside min. 1.8% - HPLC.
  • Vitexin has cardiotonic properties and allows vasodilatation of the abdominal blood vessel, in particular the coronary blood vessels carrying blood to the heart muscle. This dilatation is caused by the relaxation of the fibrocells in the muscles of the blood vessel walls, with increase of the blood stream in these body parts. As a consequence, the heatbeat slows down noticeably and the action of the digitalis on the heart muscle increases. In addition, vitexin causes the expansion of blood vessels, with consequent reduction of the blood pressure.
