- Properties and Applications
AGITAN 315 is recommended for aqueous emulsion systems specifically for low odor formulations. It is compatible with all common binders.
Main applications:
- Architectural coatings
- Emulsion plasters
- Industrial and wood coatings
- Printing inks
- Adhesives
- Cleaners
- Recommended Levels and Use
Ladder studies are recommended to determine optimum concentration. Normal dosage ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 % on finished product. AGITAN 315 is typically added undiluted during pigment grinding for optimum distribution and de-aeration. For most efficient use 2/3 of AGITAN 315 is added to the pigment dispersion and 1/3 is added to the letdown. Dilution of AGITAN 315 in solvents of the formulation may improve distribution of the defoamer.

- Storage and Handling
AGITAN 315 is not sensitive to freezing, but for better handling it should be stored at 15 and 25 °C. As the product tends to separate upon storage it must be mixed before use. The minimum shelf life in closed containers is 15 months from the date of manufacture.
