When Polygum is stored under dry and cool conditions, in, the unopened original package and in a well – ventilated area,, Polygum can be used safely in foodstuffs for minimum 24, months. It is a general fact, that natural hydrocolloids lose, viscosity over time., Tobacco beetles (Lasioderma serricorne) present in, warehouses are a danger for Locust bean gum, even in, unopened original bags. If bigger quantities of Locust bean, gum are stored, we propose an insect monitoring with, specific pheromone traps., Food
