Saudi Industrial Resins Limited is a joint venture between INEOS Composites and private Saudi Arabia shareholders, and is the leading supplier of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins in the MENA region.

In addition to its successful locally-produced Siropol® and Hetron® ranges [manufactured under license from INEOS Composites], SIR distributes a wide range of composite auxiliaries - including glassfibre, catalysts, and accelerators. The company also distributes INEOS Composites Derakane® range.

The original plant was completed in 1977 and, since that time, has undergone several capacity- and infrastructure-additions. The plant is totally self-sufficient, and can operate under its own generated electric power, chilled and cooling water, steam, and heating fluids.

SIR has manufacturing operations in Jeddah and in Jubail [Eastern Saudi Arabia].

The company owns significant storage capacities, which ensure that regional growth in consumption is matched by availability of cost-effective quality materials. The company is well-supported by the increasing range of petrochemical-based raw materials, produced in Saudi Arabia from low-cost feedstocks.

SIR offers technical-service and development capabilities, to guarantee that it continues to be a leader in provision of fit-for-purpose quality materials. The company’s technical association with INEOS Composites ensures its access to global leading-edge polyester and vinylester technologies, supplemented by an ability to customize materials to local conditions.

Siropol

SIROPOL 7440 resin is medium viscosity, excellent fiber wet­out and resilient polyester resin. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food subject to user’s compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation.

Siropol DE-33C resin is low viscosity, high reactivity, general­purpose, and unsaturated polyester resin. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420” for repeated use in contact with food subject to user’s compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation.

SIROPOL 7130 resin is a high viscosity, non­promoted, chemical and water resistant, Neopentyl Glycol Isophthalic Resin.

Siropol 8340-TPWH is an orthophthalic, low reactivity, thixotropic, pre­ accelerated, medium viscosity, general purpose, unsaturated polyester resin. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food subject to user’s compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation.

Siropol 8340-TPWH

Siropol AI2-LV is a low­ reactive unsaturated polyester resin of low viscosity. The chemical base of this grade is THPA acid/standard glycol. It is compatible with general­ purpose orthophthalic resins. SIROPOL AI2­LV is equivalent of the 1100 grade acc, to DIN 16946.

SIROPOL 8050 resin is halogenated flame retardant base resin. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food subject to user’s compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation.

Siropol 8340 resin is medium viscosity, medium reactivity, general purpose, unsaturated polyester resin. SIROPOL 9227 resin is medium viscosity, un­promoted vinyl ester based resin. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food subject to user’s compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation.

Siropol P 9170 resin is fast­-cure, resilient polyester for use where very clear casting is needed. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food subject to user’s compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation.
