Silok® 4019-Silicone Defoaming Agent is the modified organosilicon and silicon dioxide composite, it is a strong defoamer with excellent defoaming and antifoaming properties, especially for high viscosity two-component epoxy resin and two- component PU resin system, which does not affect leveling and luster.

Product application
  1. UV ink and screen printing ink: 1.0%, without affecting the leveling and luster.
  2. Gravure ink: 0.1-0.3%, to promote leveling.
  3. Epoxy floor paint: 0.2%, not affecting leveling and luster.
  4. Epoxy adhesive: 0.1-0.5%, good compatibility, not easy to precipitate.
  5. Brush type wood paint and thick polyurethane paint: 0.01-0.05%.
  6. Oil based industrial paint and varnish: 0.05%, strong defoaming and antifoaming.
Application Method

If it is diluted with solvent and then used, the dispersity of defoamer will be improved, and its defoaming efficiency will also be improved, which is very convenient to use; generally, aromatic and aliphatic groups are selected as the diluting solvent, and it is diluted to about
10% solution and added again.

Adding method

  •  Prior to adding in foaming liquid: this method can prevent foam production by adding defoamer in the liquid that may be bubbling in advance. For closed containers and devices, defoamer can effectively eliminate foam effect.
  • Continuous dropping method: when the foaming liquid or circulation and flow, the defoamer will be consumed along with the movement of the foaming liquid. In this case, defoaming agent can be used effectively to eliminate foam effect by continuous dropping of defoamer.
  • Spray spray method:The spray spray method is effective whenthere is a large amount of foam in a short time or in the hope of eliminating temporary froth. Using air guns and sprayers directly directed at foam to spray diluting defoamers, and usingthe defoaming effect produced by defoamer foam and theeffect of inhibiting foam produced by adding and dispersingliquid defoamers, a large amount of foam can be eliminated ina short time. The larger caliber sprayer is ideal. If the atomizer is too narrow, the defoamer will be foggy and can not effectively eliminate the foam effect
  • The method is applied to containers: it is more effective to control the froth in a certain range. The antifoaming agent is coated into strips on the inner wall of the foaming container. If the foam reaches the surface coated with defoamer, the foam will be eliminated.
  • The method of preparing a container filled with defoamer in the foaming tank: preparing a container filled with defoamer in the foaming tank. The foam will be eliminated when the foam reaches the container and contacts with the defoamer. Although this method is not aimed at the rapid emergence of foam devices, this method is very effective in the hope of controlling a small amount of foam in a certain range amount of foam in a certain range.
  • Attention

1.It is recommended to dilute the defoamer into a solution of about 10% with a solvent before use, and add it at a higher dispersion rate, so as to ensure even dispersion in the defoamer system.

2.In the process of defoamer storage, there may be precipitates, which will not affect the defoamer defoamer effect. But before use, it must be stirred and used after defoamer becomes uniform.

3.When using, please take care not to let defoamer adhere to skin / mucus. In case the defoamer adheres to the skin / mucus, wash immediately with soap, and then rinse thoroughly with running water
