Use suitable personal protective equipments.
- Handling Precautions
WhilethehandlingofSupremepolystyrenepelletsgenerallydoesnotpresentunusualproblems,adustcanbeformedundersomecircumstances.Ifpersonsareexposedtothisdust,theyshouldbeprotectedfromdustinhalationbyuseofapproveddustrespirators.Contactwiththeskinandeyesshouldbepreventedbyuseofprotectiveequipmentand/orclothing.SPLrecommendsstoringofpolystyreneincool&dryplaceinashadeaway from sunlight and heat. The packing used is not UV stabilized and hence should not be exposed to sunlight.
