- Usage/Purpose
CS190 Gritty Primer is suitable for use on a wide range of substrates including existing ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles, existing vinyl flooring, flooring grade asphalt and bitumen, epoxy DPMs, plaster, metal, fiberglass, concrete, sand/cement screed, timber substrates and under floor heating systems.
- Moisture Testing
Suitable for application to substrates with moisture content <75% RH. For substrates with moisture content above these levels, ensure the substrate has a suitable intact damp proof membrane.
- Preparation
All substrates must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease and other contaminants that may affect adhesion. Substrate and ambient temperature must be above 5°C.
- Application Instructions
- Shake or stir CS190 before application to ensure equal dispersion of the aggregate component. Apply a thin, even coat using brush or roller ensuring 100% coverage. Do not over apply as this can cause CS190 to skin over.
- Once applied, allow CS190 to become touch dry before applying further surface dressing. This will take between 15-60 minutes depending on the ambient temperature and the porosity of the substrate. Higher temperatures and porous substrates will reduce curing time while lower temperatures and non-porous substrates will increase curing time of CS190.
- Once applied, avoid trafficking the primed area.
- Reseal the container after use to prevent evaporation and possible contamination of CS190.
- Cleaning
Wash tools immediately after use with warm water.
