In May 2018 Wells Plastics successfully completed an ambitious expansion of its operations in Stone, Staffs, including the installation of two new state of the art twin screw compounding lines creating extra capacity, functionality and new job opportunities. This significant expansion is in response to the continued growth and demand for Wells Plastics products and services both locally and internationally.

WellsScent - Fragrances are becoming much more sophisticated and demanding with customers requiring more complex and bespoke fragrances. In addition to the increase in sophistication there is also a demand for the fragrance to be stronger in odor and longer lasting in performance. Whilst in reality these are two competing requirements Wells have developed systems which incorporate a novel odor retention additive. This allows higher loadings of fragrance to be achieved in the masterbatch and a more controlled release.

WellsFlam - Flame Retardant can be added to a polymer to improve its fire resistance properties by increasing the materials ignition temperature, reducing flame propagation speeds and reducing smoke emissions.
