Cola®Zolines, chemically described as 1–hydroxyethyl 2–alkyl imidazolines, are classified as cationic surface active agents. Cola®Zolines and their acid salts offer the following functional properties: wetting, emulsifying, detergency, thickening, moisture displacing, corrosion inhibiting, and antistatic effects. These functional properties are useful in agricultural emulsions, industrial cleaners, paints/coatings, plastics, and petroleum applications.

Cola® Cor 372 is used as a low-foaming corrosion inhibitor in metalworking fluids, in rolling emulsions and water-based hydraulic fluids. Cola® Cor 372 is insoluble in water.  Water soluble salts of Cola®Cor 372 are obtained by neutralization with alkanolamines and hydroxides and useful alone or combined with other water soluble corrosion inhibitors or lubricants. Alkanolamines salts derived from Cola® Cor 372 show excellent corrosion inhibition for steel and hard water stability.

Cola® Cor 400 is a water-soluble corrosion inhibitor designed for use in various metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions are very low foaming and will provide effective corrosion protection at recommended use concentrations. The performance properties of Cola® Cor 400 are not affected by water hardness, and aqueous films dry down to non-tacky residues. Cola® Cor 400 demonstrates more potent corrosion inhibiting properties than traditionally used carboxylic types. Cola® Cor 400 is currently being used successfully in low foam, alkaline spray washes for rust protection, as well as, for improved wetting/rinsibility at 0.1-0.3% active.

Cola®Cor 100 is a water-soluble amphoteric corrosion inhibitor designed for use in various metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions provide effective corrosion protection at typical use concentrations (0.1 to 1.0%). ColaCor 100 has been used to provide rust inhibition properties in acidic and alkaline conditions. ColaCor 100 exhibits excellent tolerance for water hardness and contributes detergency in aqueous systems.

Cola®Liquid DT-2 is a non-ionic 2:1 diisopropanolamine (DIPA) amide of tall oil fatty acids. Colonial Chemical’s Cola®Liquid products consist of completely liquid, consumer acceptable non-DEA amides that perform like traditional alkanolamide surfactants. Cola®Liquid DT-2 can be used as a substitute for 2:1 DEA amides in any application where traditional alkanolamide surfactants have been used. Cola®Liquid DT-2 is effective in a wide variety of household and industrial products.

DeTROPE CA-90 is a 90% active, anionic, mixed amine carboxylate recommended for use as a low foaming hydrotrope in aqueous alkaline systems. It is also functions as a corrosion inhibitor for steel and aluminum in aqueous systems above pH 7.0. This product is 90% DeTROPE CA-100 and 10% DW, which reduces the solidification point to ~35F-40F, therefore making it easier to handle in cooler temperatures.

DeCORE BE-85 Non Foaming Amine Borate Corrosion Inhibitor is designed to serve as a multifunctional additive. Primarily functioning as a corrosion inhibitor, it offers protection against corrosion in various applications within the household, institutional, and industrial (HI&I) care sector. Additionally, it acts as an anionic surfactant, contributing to the formulation's surface-active properties. Its non-foaming nature makes it particularly suitable for applications where foam reduction is desired.

DeTROPE CA-100 is a low foaming, anhydrous, anionic mixed amine carboxylate. It is an excellent hydrotrope for use in aqueous and powdered alkaline systems. DeTROPE CA-100 is an effective corrosion inhibitor for aluminum and steel in aqueous systems above pH 7.0. For easier handling at colder temperatures, a 90% active version is available as DeTROPE CA-90.

DeTERGE AT-100 Acid Thickener is a versatile solution for both industrial and institutional (I&I) cleaning and home care applications. DePHOS 4AL is a low to moderate foaming anionic phosphate ester in free acid form. Suggested for use as a lubricant, corrosion inhibitor, and emulsifier in metalworking applications. Highly effective for aluminum machining applications.

Crodacor™ BE is a borate ester, water-soluble corrosion inhibitor that is a clear/hazy liquid and has applications in air care, hard surface cleaning, and industrial and institutional cleaning. Formulations include Odor Neutralizer with Corrosion Inhibitor (water-based) and Odor Neutralizer with Corrosion Inhibitor.

PEL-AMPH™ LDP is suggested for systems where sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems. PEL-AMPH™ LDP is stable over the entire pH range and is used as a detergent & hydrotrope in high electrolyte systems. The product finds use in mild surfactant systems as well as hard surface cleaners. PEL-AMPH™ LDP helps wetting and solubilization in systems containing phosphate and polyphosphates. PEL-AMPH™ LDP useful as a corrosion inhibitor in aqueous systems. PEL-AMPH™ LDP is a high-foaming, salt-free amphoteric surfactant with good detergency.

K-Syn™ CI-100 is a high performance, water soluble corrosion inhibitor formulated to provide protection to cast iron and steel alloys. K-Syn™ CI-100 is designed for use in synthetic and low oil semi-synthetic metalworking fluids, water-based hydraulic fluids, and industrial cleaners. This amine carboxylate is inherently low foaming and has exceptional hard water stability. K-Syn™ CI-100 will deposit a thin oily-type film, upon the evaporation of water, which will also provide some short-term storage protection. K-Syn™ CI-100 contains no nitrates/nitrites, boron or secondary amines.

PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA is a useful replacement for Cocamide & Lauramide DEA in personal care applications. This product is not diethanolamine derived but it performs similarly to traditional diethanolamides. It is a good viscosifier & foam booster that is an easy to handle liquid at room temperature. PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA can be used in any application where the traditional coco or lauryl diethanolamides have been used. PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA is effective in a wide variety of personal care products, including shampoos, body cleansers, bubble baths & facial cleansers.

Oil-Free Sodium Sulfonates Synsul™ ES440 and ES490 are oil soluble synthetic sulfonates in an ester diluent. These unique, mineral oil-free products offer excellent lubricity, dispersion properties and corrosion inhibition in a variety of metalworking fluids.

NSP Naturals™ 450, 500, and 550 are oil soluble “natural” sodium sulfonates derived from the sulfonation of specific solvent neutral base oils. These products do not contain any aromatic polynuclear hydrocarbons, carboxylates, asphaltenes or chlorinated derivatives. All NSP Naturals™ products offer the formulator excellent solubility, emulsification, and anti-corrosive characteristics due to the broad molecular weight distribution of these products.

Oleum Sulfonated Synthetic Sodium Sulfonates Synsul™ 415, 450, and 500 are oil soluble, oleum sulfonated synthetic sodium sulfonates. Synsul™ 415 and 450 have good affinity for water making them excellent components in emulsifier packages. Synsul™ 500 displaces water, making it a good rust and corrosion inhibitor component.

Mona™ AT-1200 is a highly effective thickening agent that provides viscosity build in both mineral and organic acids. It is suitable for hard surface cleaning and industrial & institutional cleaning applications. Mona AT-1200, a proprietary surfactant, not only thickens but also exhibits high foaming properties, contributes to detergency, and offers corrosion inhibition.

MIRANOL JEM CONC from Solvay is a low foam wetting agent for industrial cleaners. It is stable in alkaline medium. Used for washing bottles and applications in the food industry or as a foaming agent and corrosion inhibitor in oilfield applications. Compliant with EU's detergent biodegradability regulation.

Synthetic Sodium Sulfonates Synsul™ NA is a series of synthetic sodium sulfonates of various molecular weights. These products are carefully and selectively manufactured to ensure consistent quality with little variation from batch to batch. The lower molecular weight products, Synsul™ NA 420 and Synsul™ NA 450, have good affinity for water making them excellent components in emulsifier packages. The higher molecular weight products, Synsul™ NA 480, and Synsul™ NA 535, have less affinity for water thereby imparting rust and corrosion inhibiting characteristics. The advantages of these products include lower viscosity for ease of handling, lighter color, and greater batch-to-batch consistency.

Mosselman Superamide KD (68155-06-6) are made by reacting diethanolamine with coconut fatty acid esters and removal of the alcohol byproduct which drives the reaction to completion. These ester derived diethanolamides are less soluble in water and may be liquid to solid. Superamides are used when a suds building material with good color is desired.

PEL-PHOS™ LP-700 is a phosphate ester of ethoxylated phenol. It is an exceptionally effective extreme pressure lubricant for metal working formulations. It also functions as a corrosion inhibitor and as a hydrotrope in detergent preparations.
