Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is considered the world market leader in the production of classic glass-mat-reinforced thermoplastics (GMT). This semi-finished product in panel form was developed primarily as a substitute for metals (steel, aluminum etc.) and its main purchasers can be found in the automotive industry. This is where it is frequently pressed on the industrial scale into complex 3D structural components, although it is also used as panels.

GMTex® is a high-performance thermoplastic composite material that has been developed for applications requiring exceptional impact resistance, strength, and durability. Plenco® 02300 is a general purpose organic filled molding compound formulated to offer excellent processability while maintaining mechanical strength values. UL recognized under component file E40654. 02300 is available in black, brown, red, or green.

Plenco® 08218 is an 18% glass-filled polyester bulk molding compound characterized as an electrical grade, but has many outstanding properties that make it suitable for a broad range of applications because of its excellent electrical resistance and mechanical strength. Customers have found this material useful for commercial/industrial heavy duty electrical parts, enclosures for power distribution equipment, fuse holders, circuit breaker cases, electric motor housings and components. It is available in bulk or extruded form and colors upon request. It is UL recognized under file E40654.

UL recognized under component file E40654. 07500 is available in black, brown, or red color. 07500 was qualified under military specification MIL-M-14 (superseded by ASTM D5948) TYPE CFG and batches can, if requested and paid for, be tested for certification to the standard.

Plenco® 07021 is impact grade phenolic molding compound. Customers have found this material useful for switchgear parts, or where mechanical assembly requires better impact strength. Plenco® 07021 is UL recognized under component file E40654. 07021 is available in black.

Plenco® 00755 is a melamine-phenolic copolymer molding compound offering excellent electrical and flame resistant properties. UL recognized under component file E40654. 00755 is available only in brown. 00755 was qualified under military specification MIL-M-14 (superseded by ASTM D-5948) TYPE CMG and batches can, if requested and paid for, be tested for certification to the standard.

Plenco® 07552 is a glass fiber reinforced novolac phenolic molding compound, exhibiting superior dimensional stability, good impact strength, and good electrical properties. Type ASTM 5948 MFH. UL recognized under component file E40654. 07552 is available in black.

Cuyahoga Plastics EB5000-1 is A U.L recognized, flame retardant, mineral-filled, glass fiber reinforced polyester thermoset molding compound suitable for compression, transfer, and injection molding. It is currently supplied in bulk form, cut preforms, and box length extrusions.

Plenco® 03554 is an organic reinforced phenolic molding compound modified with PTFE to offer improved coefficient of friction values. 03554 is available in black. It is UL listed. 03554 is a re-number of 06554 formulation.

Plenco® 05118 is a mineral and graphite filled phenolic molding compound. Customers have found this material useful for bearing seals. 05118 provides for a low coefficient of friction, abrasion resistance, minimal water absorption, and excellent dimensional stability under severe exposure. 05118 is available in gray. 05118 is not recommended for electrical insulating applications.

Plenco® 02311 is a versatile general purpose organic filled phenolic molding compound offering excellent mold processability and optimized cure cycles. Plenco® 02311 is also granulated to provide improved pourability characteristics for cold powder compression molding. UL recognized under component file E40654. 02311 is available in black color.

Plenco® 08112 is a general purpose polyester bulk molding compound that is characterized by adding utility to a number of applications. Because of its combination of high heat resistance, good electrical properties and strength. Customers have found this material useful for such applications as iron skirts and other small appliance housings, coil bobbins, and electric motor components such as brush holders. It is available in either bulk or extruded form. Colors are available upon request. It is UL recognized under file E40654.
