Product Properties

• AFCONA – 3277 is the 100% active ingredient version of AFCONA – 3777. Thus, it has similar performance as AFCONA – 3777 in the same solid content form.
• AFCONA-3277 is a fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic. It can serve as non- silicone leveling agent, where silicone is not permitted due to intercoat adhesion problems. However, we highly recommend the usage of combination with a suitable Polysiloxane for better overall performance, if silicones are permitted.
• If the requirements are to solve problems caused by high surface tension or to bring down the surface tension strongly, AFCONA- 3700 will be a better choice. AFCONA-3700 is also nearly 100% active and due to the higher fluorocarbon content more effective with a lower dosage. AFCONA -3700 has better compatibility properties than AFCONA- 3277. However, the foam stabilizing effect is slightly higher.
• AFCONA-3277:
  1) improves leveling
  2) prevents cratering
  3) helps substrate wetting
  4) acts as a defoamer and de-aeration aid
  5) does not interfere with intercoat adhesion
• AFCONA – 3277 is recommended for all solvent-based and high solid systems. Due to AFCONA – 3277 do not contain any solvent, it very suitable to use in high solids and solvent-free systems like UV, epoxy, polyurethane, PMMA flooring etc.
