American Polyfilm Polyester TPU Film

American Polyfilm Polyester TPU Film is the workhorse of polyurethane films. It offers excellent strength and long-term stability. When heated, Polyester Polyurethane acts as an adhesive and can be used for emblems in industrial laundry, textile labeling, and ID systems applications. It can also be used as a protective layer to prevent the scratching of delicate parts in metal bending and machine shop applications. Other uses include polyester polyurethane fuel bladders and pneumatic bladders.

    Features

Polyester Polyurethane sheets & Polyester TPU film material products are extremely high quality that serve many purposes and exude great characteristics such as:

    • High Tensile Strength
    • Highly Puncture Resistant
    • Endures High Abrasion Environments
    • Performs Well in Contact with Fuels or Solvents
    • Excellent Heat-Activated Adhesive
    • Ultrasonic & Radio Frequency Weldable
    • Excellent for Use in Helium Containment
    Product Highlights

Aromatic Polyester polyurethane products function extremely well in demanding, abrasive environments. Aromatic Polyesters offer high tensile strength and abrasion resistance and function well in contact with fuels. Polyester films are also used in multi-layer laminations as an adhesive layer or a barrier layer. They can also be used as a food-grade cover in multiple applications, including conveyor belting. Aromatic Polyester urethane ages better than other Thermoplastic Polyurethanes, but unlike Aromatic Polyether, it will eventually break down in high-humidity environments.

    Polyurethane film for medical industry:

Polyurethane Film offers a unique combination of properties that make it an excellent material for medical applications. Polyether TPU Films offer antimicrobial properties, breathability, and biocompatibility, all while maintaining elasticity and a soft feel. Polyether TPU is also resistant to skin oils and has passed Agar Diffusion testing for skin cytotoxicity. Polyester TPU Films have excellent tear and abrasion resistance, characteristics that make them perfectly suited for more physically demanding medical products.

    Athletic & Outdoor Polyurethane Film

Polyurethane Film is ideal for demanding outdoor applications. Our Polyether Films are used extensively in the performance textile industry. Easy to laminate, our high-performance Polyether TPU Films provide a waterproof breathable layer to substrates. Because of their hydrolytic stability, our outdoor polyether-polyurethane grades excel in the most humid environments without losing their strength and are naturally resistant to microbial growth. American Polyfilm, TPU film manufacturer, also provides high MVTR (Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate) Films to further improve your products. We also manufacture Flame Retardant Polyurethane Films to meet the most demanding UL standards.

Most of our Ether-Grade Films are available in sizes up to 76 inches wide, with thicknesses from 1 mil (25 microns) to 40 mil (1 mm).
