- Product Highlights
Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis) is a perennial succulent plant with shrubby aspect. Its growing maculated leaves when adult become of a uniform green color and are characterized by a protective coating that allows the plant to filter air and water. Just below this membrane well protected by a further vegetal layer, we find the aquifer parenchyma: colorless tissue consisting of the well-known plant gel. To this substance, important anti-inflammatory moisturizing and purifying properties are attributable. The healing and reepitelizing functions of aloe are instead linked to polysaccharides derived from mannose that enhance the synthesis of collagen and increase cell regeneration.
- Benefits for Formulators
Thanks to the formation of a protective film on the surface of skin and hair we obtain a hydration improvement and the protective film becomes also an important barrier against external agents. The presence of aloe vera gel also ensures good anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties, ideal for sensitive and mature skin, and for those susceptible to irritation.
