- Remove lid and stir compound. If Tracit-300 has frozen, thaw before use.
- Gloves and safety glasses are recommended during installation, as this product is slightly alkaline. Remove excess surface dirt, rust, etc. from contact surface before application for proper bonding.
- For tracing applications, apply a thin layer (1/4 inch thick) with a mortar trowel to completely cover tracer tube. For non-tracing applications,
- consult system manufacturer for further instructions.
- Curing: Heat for 12-24 hours at 180°F to 212°F (82°C-100°C), or air-dry above 32°F until Tracit-300 has fully hardened.
- Protect TRACIT-300 from water penetration. TRACIT-300 should never be exposed to acid.
- Tracit-300 may be removed using water.
- Chemax CC1 galvanized metal channels are recommended for faster
- installation and weather protection. Sold in 4-ft. pieces.
- Coverage Rates
Based on 1/8 inch application thickness. Apply by hand trowel. Flat surface coverage rate: 12 sq. ft. per gallon.

- Tracit-300 is slightly alkaline. Wear protective gloves and glasses when handling. Chemax CC Channels are recommended for use on straight tracing for faster installation, weather protection, and less wasted material.
- It is optimal to remove loose paint, rust, scale, grease, etc. with wire brush before applying Tracit-300. Using a brick (mortar) trowel, apply a thin layer (1/4") onto pipe line tracer, fully encasing it in the Tracit-300. For non-tracing applications, consult system manufacturer for further instructions.
- Cure Tracit-300 by heating for 12-24 hours at 180°F to 212°F (82°C-100°C), or air-drying above 32°F until Tracit-300 has fully hardened. If application thickness exceeds an inch, apply compound in one-inch layers to reduce sagging. Allow Tracit-300 to cure between layer applications. No curing required when installing with Chemax CC Channels or with plate-type coil applications.
- Protect TRACIT-300 from moisture during installation. Do not expose to acid. May be removed using water.
- Store at room temperature. Keep lid sealed tightly when not in use. If Tracit-300 has frozen, thaw before use. A small amount of water (one ounce per gallon) may be mixed into the Tracit-300 if it has become too thick for application.
