Chemrez Technologies, Inc. Yellow 17031

Yellow 17031 is a polyol-based diarylide yellow pigment dispersion intended for in-plant tinting of polyurethane foam. Dispersed in a solvent-free and non-reactive grinding media, this product contains no other ingredients that can stoichiometrically affect the performance of polyurethane foam. This dispersion is stringently controlled in color shade, strength, and gravimetric accuracy, providing appealing and consistent colors to flexible and slabstock foams.

Features & Benefits

Features & Benefits
  • Pigment is well-dispersed, using a high-end grinding technology optimized to obtain maximum color values, providing a wider and deeper color shades and improved physical properties, preventing viscosity- and stability-related problems.
  • High color strength at minimum dosage is a favorable characteristic which enables users to introduce the least amount of foreign material that can result to minimal or no impact on the polyurethane system.
  • Raw materials used are solvent-free and non-reactive which do not affect the stoichiometric balance of the polyol and isocyanate reactants in the system.
  • Complying to RoHS regulations, the raw materials do not contain any metals or any hazardous substances that may significantly disturb the foam formation.
  • Pigment used has good lightfastness, solvent and chemical resistance, which preserves the performance of polyurethane foams.
  • Cleaner shade and undertone, allows more accurate color matches for a wide color selection enabling users to produce various colors of their choice.
  • High %non-volatility is a complimentary property of the pigment dispersion preventing the unwanted reactivity of isocyanates with moisture.

Storage & Handling

Handling
The dispersion must be mixed well before usage. The container must be tightly sealed to avoid airborne pollutants, and it must be stored in a cool and dry place to prevent moisture absorption that may cause unwanted bacteria and fungi growth. Shelf life is one year from the date of production for unopened finished goods stored under good conditions - clean environment and ambient temperatures.
