Product Highlights
  • The digestive system of infant ruminants at birth differs from that of adult ruminants in anatomical structure and physiological functions. As the age advances, adaptations occur in response to the environment and acquire characteristic features of an adult ruminant. At birth, the infant ruminant is more like a monogastric animal in its digestive functions. Because of these differences, the diet of adult ruminants is not compatible with the digestive system of pre-ruminants. Therefore, feeding management of pre-ruminants needs special attention regarding the type of food to be given and the way they are fed. That is where Romino feeding concept is important.
  • ROMINO feeding concept, encourages infant ruminants to begin eating starter sooner and more frequently. It boosts animal natural immune defenses, allowing the animals to spend energy on growth and less for fighting off environmental challenges. It ensures proper development of those organic systems which will have crucial impact on future production. Proper digestion is also guaranteed by this concept. The complete feed or total mixed ration is a quantitative mixture of all dietary ingredients to provide the specific nutrients requirement. In this system, the animal has continuous free choice availability of a uniform feed mixture resulting in more uniform load on the rumen. This product is fed as a sole source of nutrients except water.
The First 100

It refers to first 100 days in life of animal. At that time, we are focused on:

  • Beginning of solid food consumption
  • Inoculation of rumen content with anaerobic microorganisms
  • Establishment of fermentative processes in the rumen
  • Increase in rumen volume
  • Differentiation and growth of papillae
  • Development of absorption and metabolic pathways
  • Maturation of the salivary apparatus
  • Development of the survival reflex
  • Strengthening active immunity
Adaptation

As the age advances, adaptations occur in response to the environment and acquire characteristic features of an adult ruminant. The digestive system of ruminants optimizes use of rumen microbe fermentation products. This adaptation lets ruminants use resources (such as high-fiber forage) that cannot be used by or are not available to other animals. Changing from one basic feed to another makes shift in ruminal population, affecting performance.

Shifting from one feed or feeding regime to another, acquire period of adaptation which represent major stress for animal and her fragile microbial population.

To keep this stress as much possible under control and not to allow him to interfere with desired growth and performance, we designed product line that is specifically intended for times of adaptation.

  • Maintenance of feed consumption
  • To adapt microbes in rumen fluid, smooth as possible
  • Not to interfere with  functional rumen fermentation
  • Continual growth and development of rumen
  • To strengthen absorption
  • To meet animal requirements for development and growth
Production

The complete feed or total mixed ration is a quantitative mixture of all dietary ingredients to provide the specific nutrients requirement. In this system, the animal has continuous free choice availability of a uniform feed mixture resulting in more uniform load on the rumen. This product is fed as a sole source of nutrients except for water.

A more even intake of feed into rumen is associated with less fluctuation in the release of ammonia, so non-protein nitrogen may be more efficiently utilized. The density of energy increases, and there is a linear increase in feed intake, milk yield, milk protein and lactose yield.

Particle size in the processing of complete feed diets affects the milk fat level. Fiber level and size affects the whole functionality of rumen and his parts.

They are extremely important in the following cases:

  • The lack of quality feed
  • In cases of long transportation
  • To assure proper delivery of certain nutrients or additives
  • To minimize waste
  • For high-yielding animals
