Induron Coatings ARMORLUX 2500 ENAMEL

Armorlux 2500 Enamel is the latest innovation in a high gloss, tough, durable industrial maintenance alkyd enamel. It is resistant to mild industrial fumes. It is extremely colorfast and is available in a wide range of colors. It is carefully formulated for excellent smoothness and easy application and contains no lead, mercury or other toxic pigments.

    Use

    Use Armorlux 2500 Enamel as an intermediate or finish coat on interior or exterior applications in commercial, mild industrial or institutional environments.

    Limitations

    Do not use for immersion service or on surfaces that are continually wet or sweat frequently. Not for service above 200°F (93°C).

    Surface Preparation

    Previously Painted Surfaces - Previous paint should be clean and well adhering. Surfaces should be scraped or sanded to remove any loose paint. Any bare surfaces should be appropriately primed. Hard, glossy surfaces should be sanded, brush blasted, or treated with a surface conditioner.

    New Surfaces -Surface should be dry and free of all dirt, oil, and fallout, laitance, or other contaminants. New work should be prepared as follows:

    Primers

    Wood

    • Induron AC 301 Exterior Wood Primer
    • Induron AC 210 Acrylic Primer

    Steel

    • Induron Armorlux Primer
    • Induron P 10 Primer
    • Induron P 20 Primer
    • Induron P 30 Universal Primer

    Sheetrock

    Concrete Block

    • Induron AC 220 Acrylic Block Filler

    Application
    • Airless Spray - Use .013-.017 tip; 60 mesh filter; 30:1 pump ratio at 40-80 psi operating air pressure.
    • Conventional Spray - Follow instructions of equipment manufacturer for the application of alkyd paints.
    • Roll - Use short nap cover. Additional coats may be required to achieve desired film thickness.
    • Brush - Use a natural bristle brush. Additional coats may be required to achieve desired film thickness.

    Thinning

    Thin as necessary up to 10% with K-1036 Spraying Thinner or W-1012 Mineral Spirits.

    Climate

    Use this product only if the substrate temperature and ambient air temperature is above 40°F and is expected not to decrease for at least two hours after application. Also, the substrate temperature must be 5°F above the dewpoint for a period of at least two hours after application to avoid condensation occurring on wet paint.
