PERGASLOW PK-40 is used at ambient temperatures for lengthening: 1) the shelf life of SMC and BMC at ambient temperature. 2) the pot life of a mixture of UP resin / peroxide at ambient temperature. An advantage of PERGASLOW PK-40 in comparison with for example p-Benzoquinone is that PERGASLOW PK-40 is very effective at ambient temperature but hardly shows any influence on the cure at elevated and high temperature. The inhibitor should be added to the resin first to create a maximum effect. After proper mixing, the peroxide and the accelerator can be added. Depending on application area and working conditions, the following inhibitor dosage levels are recommended: PERGASLOW PK-40: 0,1 to 0,3 phr
