PTFA 07 is a new generation of halogen-free, highly stabilized polypropylene compound for injection molded applications. The main features include ease of molding, excellent UV and thermal stabilities, low specific gravity and a flammability rating to UL 94 V0 at 3.2mm. Examples of suitable applications range from electrical sockets and boxes to internal light fittings, plus other areas where a combination of high UV stability and thermal oxidative stability is required. A service temperature in air of 100ºC over a period of months to years (i.e. medium term) is within expectation. Articles made from this compound will meet the environmental criteria of both the WEEE and ROHS Directives, as PTFA 07 is 100% environmentally-friendly.
