For the production of this high quality algal oil a special type of micro alga has been carefully selected from nature. The strain was discovered in a mangrove forest, its natural habitat. This type of alga, named Schizochytrium Sp, is the main species that is approved for the production of DHA for human consumption. All natural origin and fish free.

Progress Biotech has successfully combined a pure and stable algal oil product with the best available refining and processing techniques, resulting in a flavorless and odorless plant-based high DHA algal oil. To get this high quality plant-based oil, a type of micro alga has been carefully selected from nature. The alga species is called Schizochytrium sp. We use a proprietary strain that we found in a mangrove forest, its natural habitat. Algal oil that is free of odor and flavor opens up a whole new range of applications that were previously off limits for traditional Omega-3 products. This oil can be incorporated in a variety of delivery systems such as gummies, chewables and direct-intake emulsions.
