White needle crystal, soluble in hot water, hot ethanol and acetone, also soluble in ethanol and methanol, but rarely soluble in ethyl acetate, insoluble in chloroform, petroleum ether. Microherb studies have told that dihydromyricetin has excellent thermal stability, but irreversible oxidation occurs when dihydromyricetin is more than 100 °C. DHM is stable under neutral and acidic conditions.
These substances have many unique effects such as scavenging free radicals, anti-oxidation, anti-thrombosis, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and so on. It is called unique because it has the following characteristics in addition to the general features of flavonoids:
- The widespread flavonoids are insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol (alcohol), and DHM is readily soluble in hot water, which means that DHM in vine tea can be soaked out with boiling water and have more effective;
- In addition to the action of general flavonoids, dihydromyricetin has the functions of relieving alcoholism, preventing alcoholic liver, fatty liver, inhibiting the deterioration of liver cells, and reducing the incidence of the liver cancer; it is a right product for protecting the liver and protecting liver and hangover.
