- Product Highlights
- SeaBalance is an anionic, broad-spectrum organic emulsifier.
- It is the world’s first seaweed-based cosmetic emulsifier and is extracted through a non-biotech process of drying, cleaning and treating the Sargassum to isolate solid extract.
- Exhibits a very efficient, low-use rate that works with a wide range of emollients. It offers a smooth texture with minimal oil.
- It is suitable for both cold and hot processes. It is a unique and superior alternative to plant-based emulsifiers such as lecithin or beeswax.
- SeaBalance is recommended for use in cosmetics and skin-care products. It is a natural, PEG-free, non-toxic and COSMOS approved raw material.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Technical Information
- When working with nonpolar emollients, the amount of emulsifier required is normally below 20% of the emollient phase (i.e., <4% emulsifier for 20% oil).
- When working with polar emollients, the amount of emulsifier required is normally above 20 % of the emollient phase for optimal results.
- When working with pH below 6, the amount of emulsifier required is normally above 20 % of the emollient phase for optimal results.
- When formulating, dissolve the emulsifier in your aqueous phase and homogenize the solution for about 3 minutes. Add your emollient to the aqueous mix while under homogenization. Continue homogenization for about 3 minutes.
- Versatile Emulsifier
