Where a water rinse is possible:
- Mix one part of 1008 with 3 parts of water, considering the contamination level of soiled parts.
- A few minutes soak followed by a rinse will leave a clean shiny surface.
- This emulsion must be used cold.
Where water is not possible or accessible:
- 1008 can be mixed with stoddard solvent to serve a dual function.
- Increase solvent activity from 10% to 100%.
- Render the solvent non-flammable.
- Applications
- For loosening burnt oil & grease from heads.
- Blocks & trannycases, alum or steel, prior to placing in parts-washing machines.
