SABIC's Specialties Business LNP ELCRES ML4412 is based on Polycarbonate (PC) siloxane copolymer resin containing 20% glass fiber, medium flow, impact modified injection moldable grade. This grade is available in opaque colors only and is an excellent candidate for a broad range of applications that require a combination of stiffness and ductility. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. SABIC's Specialties Business SILTEM™ Resin STM1700 is a top-quality, flexible polyetherimide (PEI)-siloxane copolymer designed specifically for wire and cable applications. It offers a halogen-free flame retardant solution according to VDE 0472, as well as low smoke emission and toxicity. This amber-colored, transparent material can be self-colored and easily processed using conventional equipment. It may also be suitable for flexible profiles or injection-molded parts. SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin 1000 is an unreinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) resin that offers a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C. It features excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties at high temperatures. The material also offers very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant, offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings and aerospace FAR 25.853 compliance. The material is RoHS-compliant, and the natural, uncolored material is halogen-free according to standards IEC 61249-2-21, IPC 4101E, and JEDEC JS709B. Compliance needs to be checked case by case for colored variants. The base material is transparent amber-colored but is also available in custom colors, both transparent and opaque. ISCC+-certified renewable bio-based solutions are available for this grade via differentiated color nomenclature. It is ECO-compliant and has a UL94 V0 listing. An ideal alternative to polysulfone, ULTEM™ Resin CRS5001 Transparent meets the flame, smoke, and OEM toxicity requirements beneficial for aerospace interior applications such as connectors in hidden spaces.
