AMI Chemical had its beginnings in the Plating Industry, producing protective coatings for Platers and Finishers. Our protective coating, Guardcote PVC, is still the Plater's greatest asset when it comes to protecting plant and equipment from strong acids, bases, salts, alcohols and glycols. Wherever PVC, or Koroseal, are used, Guardcote PVC can take their places. Because, after all, Guardcote PVC is an air-dry, liquid PVC. Guardcote PVC can be used in any industry where attack from harsh chemicals is a problem. Over the years, our product line has grown to include not only Industrial Coatings but products such as Concrete Repair kits, Pigment Dispersions, Rust converters, Adhesion Promoters, Viscosity Depressants and Thixotropes. Since 1978, we have provided products to a very diverse client base and even the United States Military. We are experts at not only color matching military pigment formulations but ensuring that the reflectance curve is perfectly within Federal guidelines. AMI Chemical Corporation COAG-40 is an additive that controls sag and pigment settling in PVC plastisol coatings and sealants with a Thixotropic effect by creating a more shear-thinning rheological behavior. This means that the flow and ease of application are not affected. COAG-40 can simply be stirred into the formulation. The gel structure is not broken down by heat, giving sag control at all temperatures, even during the gelation process. Stable viscosity is reached in minutes, not hours or days as can be the case with other products such as precipitated and fumed silicas.

AMI Chemical Corporation EBKS 1541-A is a zero VOC formulation compatible for use in Plastisol systems containing zinc, calcium and other reactive metals. It will not react with heat stabilizers or flame retardants. EBKS-1541A has no reactive groups and an extremely high Smoke Point. EBKS-1541A is designed to lower, and stabilize viscosity in resinous, plasticizer and pigment combination systems.

AMI Chemical Corporation EBKS 1541-LS is a zero VOC formulation compatible for use in Plastisol systems containing zinc, calcium and other reactive metals. Will not react with heat stabilizers or flame retardants. EBKS-1541 LS is closely related to EBKS-1541, has no reactive groups and a much higher Smoke Point. The Smoke Point is extremely high for a product of this type at 482°F, thus the LS designation for Low Smoke. EBKS-1541 LS is designed to lower, and stabilize viscosity in resinous, plasticizer and pigment combination systems.
