"Castle Dairy® started in 1934 as a butter factory founded by private shareholders. At that time the company was called BHA Belgium, which was short for Beurrerie Herve Aubel the closest towns.

Over the years, the company started to specialize more and more in the dairy market. It's niche: milkpowders and butter. In the mid-90s, a new impetus is given with the acquisition by the Holding Peemex&Lambrecht, then integration into the dairy group Pajot Dairy.

Later on, with their home-office in Welkenraedt BHA started the cooperation with Castle Ingredients, who specializes in preparation and logistics for dried dairy, giving the opportunity to BHA to focus further on the development of new produces, and sales of spray dairy products for the food industry all around the world.

In February 2019 the Company Castle Dairy® was created to integrate the dairy knowledge and experience of BHA with the logistic network and sales force of Castle Ingredients.

In June 2019, a further integration will take place by concentrating all our activities like trading, producing, laboratory, R&D, marketing and logistics in our new 15.000 sqm warehouse and office in Hombourg."

Castle Dairy CASTLE

Castle Dairy SKIMMED MILK POWDER, STANDARD is a free flowing creamy-white powder, obtained from high quality fresh cow milk that has been skimmed, pasteurized at a temperature that doesn't alter its properties, vacuum concentrated in a multi-stage down draft evaporator and then spray-dried. It has no cooked-milk odor and taste.

Castle Dairy SKIMMED MILK POWDER, STANDARD

Milk Protein Isolate (MPI) is obtained by the partial removal of sufficient lactose and minerals (non-protein constituents) from skimmed milk. Milk Protein Isolate contains a least 90% protein, very little fat (typically less than 3%), carbohydrates or lactose. This product may be used as a daily supplement for those who do not consume the recommended amount of protein in their diet or those who are lactose intolerant. Due to the very high amino acid composition, the Milk Protein Isolate is excellent to be used in protein bars and meal replacement powders.

Acid Buttermilk Powder is produced from the churning off the acid cream during the acid butter production. It is a spray dried product. Normally the color is pale yellow and the product has a rich creamy flavor.

Castle Dairy ACID BUTTER MILK POWDER

Milk permeate is obtained by a ultrafiltration process which makes possible to separates the lactose, vitamins and minerals from the milk protein. By using Milk Permeate Powder you may standardize Skim Milk Powder (SMP). Thanks to its excellent functional and nutritional characteristics it may be used in a wide range of applications as beverages, seasonings, confectionery, soups, sauces, desserts, bakery and dairy.

Castle FFM 26% is a free flowing spray dried powder. It is produced from fresh skimmed milk and high quality fully vegetable fats refined coconut oil and then immediately dried by the spray process.

Milk Powder Concentrate is a concentrated milk product containing 40–85% of milk protein that has been separated by the spraying – drying method at a low temperature to keep the natural properties of milk proteins. This powder is ideal for low fat applications because of the rich dairy profile and creamy mouth-feel at a fraction of the fat, calorie and cholesterol content. The MPC products can be easily dissolved and are heat resistant. They have good emulsion building abilities, foam building and gel formation abilities, as well as water-binding properties. It is highly versatile. MPC has a milky taste and smell, and has little sediment. Due to its proprieties (good emulsion building abilities, foam building and gel formation abilities, as well as water-binding properties) it can be used in cheese, sour milk products, milk drinks, medical food, weight management supplements, sport drinks, and dietary supplements. It is added to increase the protein, vitamin B and Calcium content in the products.

Caseinates are named the caseins soluble in water. They offer high functionality, high protein and tasteless flavor in a convenient powder form. This product is used in various applications such as nutritional bars, beverages, suppliments, meal replacements, baked goods, confectionery, dairy products, meats, soups and sauces.

Acid Whey Powder is a free flowing spray dried powder. It is produced from the whey coming from the acid curdling of the milk during cheese production. It is used to produce pastry, bakery products, chocolate, biscuit, ice cream, convenience food like ready-cooked dishes, desserts, etc.
