Product Properties

• AFCONA - 3700 is a highly fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic polymer. It has very low surface tension and therefore, it can substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones.
• AFCONA - 3700 reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems. This, together with good compatibility with most solvent-based systems and minimal foam stabilizing effect, makes it very effective as an anti-crater and flow control agent for all solvent - based coatings.
• Due to the low surface tension, it gives very good substrate wetting. Normally recommended to combine with a silicone based leveling agent to gives optimum performance on leveling, anti - crater as well as flow control.
• AFCONA - 3700 is widely used especially in refinish topcoats as a good prevention for crater formation caused by different environment on application sites. Beside this, it improves the vertical leveling in this application strongly.
• AFCONA-3700 is an excellent anti-crater and substrate wetting agent.

• Addition and Dosage
  • 0.05 – 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.05 – 0.25% based on total formulation.
