As far as taste and ingredients are concerned, both variants are the same. Its high swelling capacity makes Chia an interesting alternative for linseed. In an approval procedure that is prescribed for all foods not common in the EU before 1997, the daily ration of Chia is limited to 15 grams. However, in the case of small seeds, this is a rich amount that provides proper nutrients. 16 g of easily digestible vegetable protein and 31 g of fat in 100 g turn organic Chia into small energy bombs. Vitamins and above all valuable minerals supplement the delays of this super food.

White Chia taste particularly good pure in mueslis. Mixed with water, a vegetable milk or in juices, a gel is formed which gives smoothies consistency or gives gluten-free baked goods the necessary adhesive power. White organic Chia goes well with egg white bread and is suitable for biscuits and crispy bars. Its high energy content makes this small seed ideal for sports drinks and nutritious paps. The nutty tasting seeds are processed in diet powders, where the high saturation power of Chia is used. Chia seed oil and chia flour are not only appreciated in alternative cuisine. Organic Chia turns yogurt, quark and milk into a complete meal.
