It best suited for formulations based on anionic surfactant systems such as shower gels, shampoos, and fatty-acid based liquid hand soaps.

DOWSIL(TM) FA 4003 DM Silicone Acrylate is a blend of approximately 40% of acrylates/polytrimethylsiloxy-methacrylate copolymer in 2 cSt polydimethylsiloxane. After the polydimethylsiloxane evaporates, the high-molecular-weight silicone acrylate copolymer forms a film on the skin, providing long-lasting cosmetic wear, an SPF boost, and comfort to wear.

CELLOSIZE(TM) Texture E50 Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose is a methoxy- and hydroxypropyl-substituted cellulosic polymer that is supplied as white powders. The ratio of methoxy to hydroxypropyl largely determines the properties of the different product grades. This thickener is an excellent rheology modifier, binder, film former, and water-retention agent. It yields a viscosity of 50 cP at low addition levels.

DOWSIL(TM) 7-3118 EBAP HIP Emulsion is a high internal phase emulsion of dimethicone crosspolymer in cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone intended to speed the development of skin care formulations containing these emollients. These emulsions have been prepared using a proprietary process to give a particle size similar to the silicone elastomer gels in the emulsion (average particle size 7 - 10 μ), and have been stabilized with nonionic surfactants to provide maximum compatibility in formulations that contain other surfactants.

XIAMETER(TM) PMX-0344 Cyclosiloxane Blend is a blend of volatile polydimethylcyclosiloxane composed of cyclotetrasiloxane and cyclopentasiloxane. It can be used as a volatile carrier fluid with excellent spreading, easy rub out, silky skin feel, and good compatibility with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients. The product is clear, tasteless, essentially odorless, non-greasy, and non-stinging.

DOWSIL(TM) 580 Wax is a soft, solid mixture of stearyl alcohol and stearoxytrimethylsilane. The cosmetic properties of this wax are a result of the silicone moiety. The inclusion of the stearoxy group involves compatibility with organic ingredients. Hair care and skin care products benefit from the property of this wax to facilitate the formation of a very thin film that is neither oily, tacky, nor too dry.

It provides dry smoothness, quick absorption, and a light silky feel on the skin. Consequently XIAMETER(TM) OFX-8220 Fluid is substantive to hair and useful for delivering shine, gloss, combing, and smoothness benefits in hair care applications. ACULYN(TM) 38 Polymer is an alkali-swellable anionic acrylic polymer emulsion (ASE) that is lightly crosslinked to impart a short pseudoplastic flow. It is a liquid, cold-processable product that instantaneously thickens upon neutralization, providing ease of handling and increased manufacturing efficiency. This thickener is offered at 28% solids and has been developed for use as a rheology modifier and suspending agent for personal care surfactant formulations. It is effective in a range of personal care surfactants and is useful at a pH range of 3 - 11, depending on the formulation. It is stable in the presence of sodium chloride and two common conditioning agents, polyquaternium-7 and polyquaternium-10, as well as polar solvents and zinc pyrithione. The polymer has a well-established toxicological profile and is safe in normal use.
