"Dynalene’s history goes back to 1993 when a research grant from the Ben Franklin Technology Partnership (BFTP) of Pennsylvania State was available to Lehigh University and Loikits Technologies, Inc. to develop ultra-low temperature heat transfer fluids that work very efficiently below -80°C (-112°F). This research work resulted in several patents and the products were commercialized in 1996. Initially, the Dynalene branded products (Dynalene MV and Dynalene HF) were sold by Loikits Technologies, Inc. In 1997, a new company named Advanced Fluid Technologies (AFT) was formed to continue the development and commercialization of heat transfer fluids. By 1998, AFT had more than 8 Dynalene branded products covering a very wide temperature range from -112°C (-170°F) to 350°C (662°F).

As the popularity of Dynalene heat transfer fluids grew in a variety of industrial applications, AFT developed several innovative fluids and chemistries to cover many different applications. The Dynalene brand name was well established with over 40 fluids that included several custom fluids made for customers depending on their applications. In 2005, the company changed its name from Advanced Fluid Technologies Inc. to Dynalene Inc. The company was ranked by Inc. magazine to be among the fastest growing companies in the US for two years in a row. Currently, the company has three manufacturing facilities (Whitehall PA, Chicago IL and Salt Lake City UT) along with a strong R&D facility with five labs and a number of research staff. Dynalene opened its third business unit, Fluid Testing and Cleaning Equipment, which offers comprehensive filtration, contamination removal and desiccation solution that are compatible with a range of heat transfer fluids.

Dynalene has also received in excess of $4 million in research grants over the years to develop heat transfer fluids and coolants. These include grants from the US Department of Energy to develop coolants for fuel cells and from the US Department of Defense to develop coolants utilizing hybrid nanoparticles.

Due to the research and instrumentation capabilities developed in the last decade, Dynalene created Dynalene Laboratory Services business unit. Laboratory Services division helps customers determine several critical properties of their materials or solve technical problems they are encountering."

Dynalene develops, manufactures and distributes industrial heat transfer fluids and coolants such as glycols, which include propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, BioGlycol, solar glycol, Geoglycol as well as other fluids including potassium formate, calcium chloride, hydrocarbon and silicone chemistries.

Dynalene 600 high temperature silicone heat transfer fluid is specifically engineered to maintain consistently high thermo-physical stability in the most hostile high temperature applications, such as open fluid baths, quenching tanks and hydraulic/mechanical equipment.It is an environmentally-friendly, silicone-based product with enhanced resistance to oxidation and with a high benchmark for operational safety by exhibiting an open-cup flash point of 315°C (600°F). When premium performance is a minimum requirement, select Dynalene 600 as your fluid of choice.

Dynalene Inhibited Calcium Chloride heat transfer fluids provide users with a stable, safe, and efficient product for applications where freeze protection, efficiency, and safety are needed. Properly used and maintained, Calcium Chloride solutions and heat transfer fluids provide excellent thermophysical properties.

Dynalene LC-PG (propylene glycol-based) is specially designed for cooling PEM fuel cells, electronics, computers, and other applications requiring low electrical conductivity coolants. It provides efficient heat transfer that prevents your system from overheating while simultaneously acting as an electrical insulator. LC products use a non-ionic corrosion inhibitor package that prevents corrosion and contaminants from degrading your system.

Dynalene Raw BioGlycol (Bio-based Heat Transfer Fluid and Antifreeze, Inhibited Renewable Glycol) is an inhibited non-toxic corn based glycol heat transfer fluid which offers users performance closer to ethylene glycol with the stability, safety, and non-toxicity of propylene glycol. It offers excellent thermo-physical properties all while protecting your system from corrosion and degradation for years.

Dynalene LO-170 (Low Odor, Low Temperature Heat Transfer Fluid) heat transfer fluid provides nontoxic, thermally effective and affordable alternative to the expensive silicone oils or aromatic hydrocarbons. Dynalene LO-170 also exhibits no odor and high flash point characteristics to accommodate most open bath or closed loop heat transfer systems when used within its recommended temperature range. When operator safety, environmental impact and price are a minimum requirement for your next heat transfer application or retrofit, consider Dynalene LO-170.

Dynalene HC-50 is a potassium formate/water-based heat transfer fluid engineered to deliver a higher thermal performance than glycol and calcium chloride throughout its temperature range. This user-friendly fluid poses little risk to the environment, equipment or personnel. Five concentrations of Dynalene HC and many specialty mixtures are available to serve a wide range of applications.

Dynalene EG-XT is a high-temperature inhibited ethylene glycol. Dynalene ethylene glycol (EG), also known as monoethylene glycol (MEG) or 1,2-ethanediol, is a naturally colorless, odorless, slightly viscous fluid that is miscible in water. Dynalene ethylene glycol products include both inhibited and uninhibited solutions. Dynalene glycols are blended with specially formulated additive packages depending on your system specifications.

Dynalene EG-XT

Dynalene MS-1 is a molten salt heat transfer fluid which can be used in hot bath or solar thermal applications at very high temperatures. MS-1 can safely withstand temperatures up to 565°C (1050°F), higher than most commercially available heat transfer fluids on the market today.

Dynalene MS-1

Dynalene HF-LO is a non-toxic, thermally-efficient, odorless aliphatic hydrocarbon heat transfer fluid. Due to the non-aqueous nature of the fluid, it can be used with water-sensitive chemicals to reduce process hazards. Additionally, its high flash point provides improved safety with regards to transportation and electrical hazards.
