PEL-SIL™ Bis-PEG-12 is a linear, 100% active, dimethicone terminated with PEG-12 polyether groups. It is dispersible in water and is used in applications where lubricity, softness and conditioning are required. It finds use in personal care, household products, textile finishing and leather processing. Excellent surface tension reducer, it can boost foam quantity and stability in a multitude of personal care applications. It provides additional benefits such as moisturizing, emollience and a soft silky feel on hair and skin. It may also be used as a reagent to modify polymeric systems by virtue of its two primary hydroxyls. In these systems, it provides the typical benefits of silicones that include slip, mar resistance, anti-blocking, softness and improved temperature stability to the finish polymer.

PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA is a useful replacement for Cocamide & Lauramide DEA in personal care applications. This product is not diethanolamine derived but it performs similarly to traditional diethanolamides. It is a good viscosifier & foam booster that is an easy to handle liquid at room temperature. PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA can be used in any application where the traditional coco or lauryl diethanolamides have been used. PEL-AMID™ L-DIPA is effective in a wide variety of personal care products, including shampoos, body cleansers, bubble baths & facial cleansers.

PEL-PHOS™ LP-300 Is a low-foaming aromatic phosphate ester with hydrotrope properties. It is a highly efficient agent for coupling nonionic surfactants into built hard surface cleaners. It is useful for cleaning formulations intended for metal & bottle-washing. When incorporated into metal cutting formulations, PEL-PHOS™ LP-300 provides extreme pressure lubricity due to its phosphate functionality.

PEL-SIL™ CL340 is a nonreactive, acetate capped, silicone glycol copolymer surfactant supplied at 100 percent active concentration. It provides slip, gloss enhancement, pigment treatment and leveling for ink and coatings applications. Additionally, it provides mar resistance for coatings applications such as glossy printed materials. PEL-SIL™ CL340 is compatible with acrylic, epoxy, nitrocellulose, phenolic, polyester &amp; polyurethane systems. With a low order of toxicity, this product acts as an anti-stick agent in printing ink applications. It is particularly useful for facilitating the slip of magazine covers over one another during printing and distribution. It is also used as a solubility aid to compatibilize blowing agents with isocyanates in the production of polyurethane foams. PEL-SIL™ CL340 is stable in neutral or mildly acidic or alkaline aqueous solutions. It Imparts anti-blocking and improves mar resistance of PU coatings. PEL-SIL™ CL340 is an effective leveling agent for synthetic leather top coatings.

In hair care formulations, it acts as a conditioning and anti-static agent, improving the combability, gloss, and manageability of hair. In skin care products, PEL-SIL™ Q-80-S performs as an emollient, a slip aid, and imparts a smooth feel. It is recommended for evaluation in shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and liquid soaps. PEL-SIL™ Q-80-S is provided as a 50% active solution in renewably-sourced, sustainable Propanediol.

PEL-FIX™ 123-S facilitates the penetration semi-permanent dyes and temporary hair colors into the hair shaft. It then improves the substantivity of those materials with a cationic silicone polymer. PEL-FIX™ 123-S allows for the uniform deposition of colors on the hair, even damaged hair. PEL-FIX™ 123-S is a blend of sorbitol, propylene glycol and Quaternium-80, a quaternary functional polydimethylsiloxane. Sorbitol and propylene glycol swell the hair shaft and allow penetration by the Quaternium-80 which retards the loss of color. Additionally Quaternium-80 is an excellent hair conditioning active.

PEL-SIL™ CL290 is a organo-modified silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polyethylene-oxide (EO) and polypropylene oxide (PO) side chains. PEL-SIL™ CE 390 has recoatability and low tendency to foam. It is good compatibility with many resin systems. PEL-SIL™ CL290 is an excellent silicone-based additive for improving slip and mar resistance and reducing friction coefficient for solvent-borne, water-borne, and UV/EB cured coating systems. PEL-SIL™ SFD is a sunflower derived product in which sunflower fatty acids and dimethicone have been grafted together to provide the benefits of both. Because of its dual nature, PEL-SIL™ SFD is highly compatible with both natural oil-based and silicone-based ingredients. In skin care products, PEL-SIL™ SFD performs as an emollient, a slip aid, and reduces tackiness and provides a smooth skin feel. In hair care products, it increases sheen, improves wet-combing and detangling, and gives increased softness and suppleness to the hair. PEL-SIL™ SFD is easily emulsifiable and can be used to ease the incorporation of highly lipophobic silicones into formulations. PEL-SIL™ SFD is PEG free, prop-65 free, preservative free, and palm free. It has a renewable carbon content of 50%.

PEL-SIL™ CW300 a low molecular weight, nonionic silicone-based wetting additive that can reduce the surface tension of aqueous solutions significantly lower than conventional nonionic surfactants can. It is stable at neutral pH and compatible with other anionic surfactants and nonionic surfactants. Even at concentrations as low as 0.1 percent, PEL-SIL™ CW300 wetting additive will reduce surface tension below 22 dynes/cm. Therefore, it produces very rapid wetting and spreading on hard-to-wet surfaces. It shows an excellent and consistent performance over a wide range of substrates in various coating formulations. Its applications are found in plastic coatings, wood coatings, radiation curing coatings, automotive coatings, and printing inks, etc. PEL-SIL™ CW300 can also be used as an ingredient in pesticide products, or as a tank-mix adjuvant for foliar applied chemicals. It allows complete coverage with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other agricultural chemicals. PEL-SIL™ CW300 meets the requirements of US EPA regulation 40 CFR 180.910 regarding “tolerances and exemption from tolerances for pesticide chemicals in or on raw agricultural commodities.” It is approved for both food and nonfood use.

PEL-QUAT CS280 is a quaternary salt. It is a very concentrated liquid consisting primarily of isostearyl ethylimidazolinium ethosulfate. PEL-QUAT CS280 is compatible with waterborne coating systems stabilized by anionic surfacants. PEL-QUAT CS280 is a multi-functional additive. It can be used as an effective anti-static agent, wetting agent for coatings and adhesives, and as a quat emulsifier for drilling fluid.

PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 is a multipurpose organosilicone surfactant that provides slip, mar resistance and antiblocking properties to surfaces such as polyolefins and coatings, paints and inks. It improves leveling and reduces orange peel, increases gloss and provides a smooth feel to surfaces. This product is soluble in both water and solvent borne formulations and is stable at roughly neutral pH. Stability is reduced by exposure to strong acid or alkali. There is no hydroxyl functionality because all the terminal hydroxyls are acetate capped so PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 is non-reactive. In personal care, PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It is also an effective humectant and emollient for skin care products. It yields very stable formulations, is a good wetting agent, requires low usage levels and is compatible with a wide range of other materials. Being a higher molecular weight polymer, PEL-SIL™ PEPG-1818 has a low order of toxicity.

PEL-SIL™ CL320 is a low HLB silicone surfactant and a leveling & gloss agent. It is used as an additive for polyurethane coating resin systems. PEL-SIL™ 9107 will react into PU coatings to give silicone properties to the surface because it is hydroxyl functional. It is useful for imparting silicone characteristics into synthetic leather top coat formulations.

PEL-STAT CS410 is a very efficient internal antistatic agent for engineering thermoplastics. It is thermally stable to at least 260° C and provides Mil Spec performance at low concentrations. Most thermoplastics used in the electronics industry are non-conductive and subject to static charge buildup during manufacturing and use. Small electrical discharges, as low as 50 volts, can damage electronic components, so it is desirable to make these thermoplastics antistatic through use of conductive fillers or chemical additives. Typical fillers such as carbon black, metallic particles and oxides are effective but they require high loadings of about 25%, they degrade the physical properties of the resin and they are expensive to use. Chemical antistatic additives have been used successfully in polyolefins and are cost effective. In engineering thermoplastics, compounding and molding temperatures are too high for these additives to be used without thermal degradation. They typically degrade between 100 – 150° C. PEL-STAT CS410 performs in high temperature applications significantly greater than 150° C. It has much higher thermal stability than standard antistatic agents and can provide long term, internal static protection. PEL-STAT CS410 can be incorporated into HIPS, Noryl, and Nylon 6 with minimal color change. The typical use level is 5% by weight.

PEL-SIL™ CX740 is an epoxy functionalized siloxane polyether. With its silicone and organic combination and dual reactive hydroxyl and epoxy functionality, PEL-SIL™ CX740 offers the unique capability to modify epoxy and polyurethane systems. It can impart surface and bulk properties, such as gloss, slip, hydrophobicity, flexability and durability. Due to its low viscosity, PEL-SIL™ CX740 enhances the process for better mixing and flow for compounds and composites.

PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 is a modern imidazoline derived amphoteric surfactant that is suggested for personal care applications where mildness and luxurious lather are desired. Based on a pure lauric source, PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 contains minimal amounts of by-products and is compatible with most other surfactants. In personal wash formulations such as body washes and shampoos, PEL-AMPH™ HPL-28 provides a dense lather and cleans without defatting the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect.

PEL-AMPH™ ODP is a 50% active aqueous solution of a low molecular weight amphoteric surfactant. It acts as an effective hydrotrope to couple nonionic surfactants into systems containing high levels of electrolyte. PEL-AMPH™ ODP is a low foamer that provides good detergency in systems that require high cloud points. It is stable in both highly acid and alkaline systems offering utility in acid cleaners and heavily built detergents.

PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is both an alcohol-free and salt-free, mild, amphoteric surfactant with applications in both personal care and HI&I. In personal care products, PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is used to couple conditioning agents into shampoos and body washes. This high foaming surfactant makes an ideal choice when formulating mild shampoos or body washes. Its high buffer capacity also offers utility when formulating neutralizing shampoos that act to remove all relaxer types. PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is also useful in industrial cleaners due to its ability to couple nonionic surfactants into high levels of electrolytes and its stability over a broad pH range. PEL-AMPH™ 2CSF-CG is the ideal choice for systems where sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems. It also has the potential to reduce the overall irritation of other surfactants.

PEL-SIL™ CL370 is an amino-functional siloxane with pendant propyldiamine groups. The specialty amino polysiloxane can be used in coatings and adhesives for improving adhesion to various substrates. PEL-SIL™ CL370 is a reactive amine-containing siloxane additive as resin modifier for epoxy resin and polyurethane systems to impart flexibility and strength.

PEL-ALC™ CA-205P is both a nonionic emulsifier and an emollient useful for the formulation of lotions and creams. It also serves as a humectant, dispersant and fragrance solubilizer. PEL-ALC™ CA-205P is useful for the formulation of bath oils, shampoos, clear gels and other hydroalcoholic systems. By virtue of its higher molecular weight, this product is quite mild to the skin. PEL-ALC™ CA-205P is recommended as a solubilizer for bath oils and fragrances. It may also be used as a superfatting agent, conditioner and solubilizer for fragrances in shampoos and conditioners. In hair sprays, it will plasticize the resins used and add lubricity, providing better combability. PEL-ALC™ CA-205P has an HLB of 16 and it provides good wetting from aqueous solution. As such, it is useful for the suspension of actives used in antiperspirant sticks. PEL-ALC™ CA-205P can also be usedin soap bars to prevent cracking. The typical use level is 2% and it should be incorporated before milling as a mixture with the fragrance at the mixer stage.

PEL-SIL™ CL330 is a silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polyethylene-oxide (EO) side chains. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. The EO component gives PEL-SIL™ CL330 coatings additive its compatibility with water-borne systems. PEL-SIL™ CL330 has excellent wetting and recoatability. It can be used at low dosage levels. PEL-SIL™ CL330 can be recommended for use as a leveling and wetting agent in water-borne paints and coatings in automotive, transportation, construction and aerospace industries. It can also be used in solvent-based and high solid/UV curable coatings as leveling agent. For polyurethane foam coatings, PEL-SIL™ CL330 acts a surfactant and foam cell stabilizer. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.

PEL-PHOS™ CE250 is a phosphate ester of ethoxylated isotridecyl alcohol. It is useful as an emulsifier for emulsion polymerization. It can also be used as co-dispersant and stabilizer for water-based coatings and paints.

PEL-AMPH™ ASC is an very low foam surfactant that is stable in both alkaline and acid product media. Versatile and low in viscosity, PEL-AMPH™ ASC is effective at lowering the surface tension of highly alkaline systems and has a high solubility in caustic soda. The low, fast breaking foam of PEL-AMPH™ ASC makes it ideal for hard surface cleaners, steam cleaners and bottle washing where foaming products are difficult to rinse.

PEL-SULF™ PEG-12D is an exceptionally mild sulfosuccinate surfactant derived from a water-soluble silicone polyether compound. PEL-SULF™ PEG-12D is a mild detergent recommended for skin care products. When blended with sodium laureth sulfate, PEL-SULF™ PEG-12D reduces both eye sting and eye irritation. This product is hostile to microbial contamination and contains no preservatives.

PEL-PHOS™ 583 a water soluble phosphate ester that exhibits both hydrotrope and detergent properties. It is an ideal ingredient for coupling nonionics into moderately built, alkaline detergent systems. It finds particular use for metal cleaning. It is compatible with the typical builders used including pyrophosphates, silicates, carbonates, etc.

PEL-RIG™ 1360 phosphate polyol halogen free fire retardant is a phosphoric acid propylene oxide reaction product. PEL-RIG™ 1360 is used in polyisocyanurate (PIR) and other rigid and semi-rigid foams as a replacement for tris(1-chloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TCPP) and other halogenated fire retardants. PEL-RIG™ 1360 is a trifunctional crosslinker in polyurethane foam.

Additionally, it imparts a soft silky feel to the hair and functions as a humectant and emollient in skin products.

PEL-SIL™ 648 reduces the surface tension of aqueous solutions significantly lower than conventional nonionic surfactants can. Even at concentrations as low as 0.01 percent, PEL-SIL™ 648 will reduce surface tension below 23 dynes/cm. It produces very rapid wetting and spreading on hard-to-wet surfaces such as waxy leaves. PEL-SIL™ 648 allows complete coverage with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other agricultural chemicals. It is a low molecular weight nonionic silicone polyether surfactant, developed to improve the wetting, spreading and penetration of agricultural chemicals. It may be used as an ingredient in pesticide products, or as a tank-mix adjuvant for foliar applied chemicals. PEL-SIL™ 648 meets the requirements of US EPA regulation 40 CFR 180.910 regarding “tolerances and exemption from tolerances for pesticide chemicals in or on raw agricultural commodities.” It is approved for both food and nonfood use.

PEL-CAT™ 9648 is Effective trimerization catalysts for rigid and semi-flex foams; high rate of trimer formation improves flammability properties and compressive strength. PEL-CAT 9648 has a high level of potassium in ethylene glycol solvent and is the most water compatible.

PEL-EST™ OVG is a 100% natural derived emollient ester, obtained from organic extra virgin olive oil. It is useful as a co-emulsifier, wetting agent, emollient and conditioning agent for hair and skin. PEL-EST™ OVG is very mild and is excellent for refatting the skin. It is free of PEG, EO, PO, and dioxane.

PEL-PHOS™ CD260 is a dispersant, lubricant, anti-wear additive, corrosion inhibitor, wetting agent, emulsifier, detergent. It is both biodegradable and a non-ecotoxic surfactant. PEL-PHOS™ CD260 can also be used as co-emulsifier for emulsion polymerization.

PEL-SIL™ CL310 is a hydrophobic organo-modified silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polypropylene oxide (PO) side chains. PEL-SIL™ CL310 minimizes foam stability and is an excellent defoamer for waterborne industrial or decorative coatings. PEL-SIL™ CL310 is compatible with solvent-borne coatings and inks. It provides good low and leveling performance, mar resistance, anti-blocking and releasing properties.

PEL-AMPH™ CSF is a amphoteric surfactant useful in the formulation of both personal care and industrial cleaners. Due to its mildness and excellent coupling properties, PEL-AMPH™ CSF is used to couple conditioning agents in shampoos. Its ability to couple nonionic surfactants into formulations with high levels of electrolyte makes PEL-AMPH™ CSF very useful for industrial cleaners. PELAMPH CSF is suggested for products where the presence of sodium chloride would be detrimental to the performance of the final product or would cause corrosion problems because the chloride level is essentially nil. It is stable over a broad pH range and is the surfactant of choice in high electrolyte systems.

PEL-HIB CC220 corrosion inhibitor is an amine borate ester suitable for use with aluminum and steel substrates. Originally introduced as an alternative to nitrites, it affords the same level of protection to ferrous materials. It provides excellent rust inhibition and aids lubrication. PEL-HIB CC220 is very water soluble. In addition to its applications in metalworking fluids and coolants, cooling water and boiler operations, oil well and refinery operations, fuels, lubricants and greases, PEL-HIB CC220 also find its uses in inorganic coatings, organic coatings, and printing inks.

PEL-PAG CF240 is a water-soluble, non-silicone defoamer. It is butanol ethoxylated and propoxylated. PEL-PAG-WS CF240 is used as a defoamer in waterborne paint and coatings. It can also be used as freeze-thaw stabilizer for latexes emulsions.

PEL-SIL™ CL350 is a polysiloxane with EO/PO polyether side chains. It can be used as a low foaming flow and leveling agent and wetting agent in waterborne and solvent borne coatings and inks. PEL-SIL™ CL350 is also reactive in 2K polyurethane systems as a resin and surface modifier. Other uses for PEL-SIL™ CL350 include surface tension reduction in silicone emulsions and improvement of drainage in pulp brown stock washing.

PEL-SIL™ PEG-8L has a wide range of applications in personal care products including, hair sprays and other leave-in hair products, shampoos, skin care lotions & shaving creams. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions but stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. It performs as a wetting agent, emulsifier and a foam builder. PEL-SIL™ PEG-8L is used as a plasticizer for hair resins used in styling products. It also detackifies ingredients used in some formulations while providing emolliency and slip to carbomer-based formulations. Additionally, it imparts a soft silky feel to the hair.

PEL-SIL™ AMOD is an amino-functional dimethicone fluid consisting of a dimethicone chain with pendant propyldiamine groups. Physically, it is a clear to slightly hazy liquid. When emulsified and formulated into conditioners or shampoos, PEL-SIL™ AMOD provides excellent conditioning, improves wet and dry combing and gives a soft feel to hair. It also enhances color retention.

PEL-SIL™ 9315 has a wide range of applications in polyurethane and in personal care products including, hair sprays and other leave-in hair products, shampoos, skin care lotions & shaving soaps. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. Its stability is reduced by strong acid or alkali. PEL-SIL™ 9315 is used as a surfactant in the production of rigid urethane foams. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.

PEL-CAT™ 9858-A is an amine based trimerization catalyst. It is a moderately active polyisocyanurate catalyst that provides excellent back-end cure for rigid polyurethane foams. It can be used as a co-catalyst to improve trimer conversion or back-end cure in rigid polyisocyanurate foams. PEL-CAT 9858-A improves back-end cure in a variety of flexible polyurethane foam formulations too.

PEL-SIL™ SMDC is an organosilicone wax consisting of a short dimethicone chain with pendant stearoxy groups. Physically, it is a soft white wax which melts slightly below body temperature. PEL-SIL™ SMDC performs as an emollient, a slip aid, and contributes to hydrophobicity in skin care and makeup formulations. It is recommended for evaluation in antiperspirant sticks, lipstick and other makeup products as well as creams and lotions.
