Founded in 1953, General Formulations is a family owned company located in Sparta, Michigan. We have several solvent and water based coating lines as well as one of the largest converting operations in the industry, specializing in slitting, sheeting, punching and packaging. Our corporate headquarters has 400,000 square feet of manufacturing and converting space to service the ever growing needs of our customers.

GF 114 is a double-coated pressure sensitive 1.0 mil clear polyester film with a permanent adhesive on one side and removable adhesive on the other side. It is self wound on a white 76# paper liner. GF 114 is designed for laminating thin flexible plastic films and papers commonly found in graphics for temporary application to glass. The permanent adhesive is exposed when the product is unwound leaving the removable adhesive protected by the liner. This clear mounting film can be laminated by the cold laminating process without the addition of heat.

HTAP-C0.5-HTAP/76# is a double-coated pressure sensitive .5 mil clear polyester film with the 200-4985 permanent high tack pressure sensitive adhesive on both sides of the polyester film. It is self wound on a 4.5 mil white 76# paper liner. The permanent HTAP adhesive is formulated for high tack to various substrates with aggressive bond to glass. This clear mounting film can be laminated by the cold laminating process without the addition of heat.

GF 105 is a 2.0 mil high gloss laminate with an optically clear permanent acrylic adhesive on a 1.5 mil polyester film liner. This polyester film offers protection from abrasion, moisture and other environmental exposures. It is laminated by the cold laminating process without the addition of heat. GF 105 is ideal for artwork and indoor graphics where a high gloss finish is required.

GF 242 Optically Clear Cast Overlaminating film is a pressure sensitive vinyl with an optically clear, permanent, solvent based adhesive and a polyester liner. This highly flexible gloss laminate provides protection against ultraviolet radiation, moisture, and abrasions. GF 242 is designed specifically for perforated window films like GF 280 and is recommended for use with GF 232, GF 260, GF 261, and GF 270. Cold lamination is recommended for this film.

GF 102 is a 3.0 mil matte clear pressure sensitive vinyl laminate with a permanent acrylic adhesive on a smooth 53# liner. This calendered vinyl laminate protects graphics from abrasion and moisture. GF 102 is best applied by the cold laminating process without the addition of heat and is designed to protect digital and screen printed images for exhibit and display graphics. GF 102 can be used in most instances where an overlay with a matte finish is required on interior or exterior applications.

GF 113 is a double-coated pressure sensitive 1.0 mil clear polyester film with permanent adhesive on one side and removable adhesive on the other side. GF 113 is self wound on a 1.25 mil clear polyester liner printed with “Remove to Expose Adhesive” to identify the removable adhesive. This clear liner allows the graphics to be viewed after application of the 113 mounting adhesive. This product is designed for laminating thin flexible plastic films and papers commonly found in graphics for temporary application to glass. The permanent adhesive is exposed when the product is unwound leaving the removable adhesive protected by the liner. This clear mounting film can be laminated by the cold laminating process without the addition of heat.

GF 103 is a 5.0 mil clear polycarbonate textured matte laminating film. This polycarbonate laminate has a clear permanent acrylic adhesive on a 1.5 mil polyester film liner. 103 offers protection from abrasion and moisture in interior applications. GF 103 is best applied by using a cold laminating process (heat is not recommended). GF 103 laminate is designed to protect digital image prints and screen-printed images for exhibit and display graphics. GF 103 can be used in most instances where a laminate with non-glare properties is required.
