Features & Benefits
- Background
South Africa, also known as 'A world in one country', has many cultures and religions. And so are tastes. Both East Asian and Indian influences are noticeable in this spicy cuisine. When you think of South Africa, you might think of typical dishes like bobotie or bunny chow, but there is much more than that. The country is also known for its African braai.
The challenging combination of coffee, coconut and black cardamom in this blend provides surprising flavors in your kitchen. Coffee is often associated with bitterness, but if you add a sweet counterpart, such as coconut, to it, balance is created. Just like coconut and black cardamom; the latter has a somewhat complex taste, but the coconut brings some refinement again. So a good combination.
The flavors from our African Braai are delicious in a marinade for when you are going to grill meat during your own 'braai party', but also in a rice dish with marinated chicken or a curry sauce with meat and vegetables that you serve in hollowed out white bread ( bunny chow).
