Koster Keunen Enhans PC-38 is a wax and synthetic polymer blend designed for skin care, sunscreens and color cosmetic formulations.

Koster Keunen Bayberry Wax is obtained from the fruit of the bayberry shrub. This all-natural wax,native to Central and South America, consists predominantly of triglycerides with C-16 carbon chain lengths. Formulators will find the esthetics hard, brittle, and fatty to the touch.

Kostene C-30 is a low molecular weight polyethylene. When used in conjunction with volatile oils and solvents such as cyclomethicone, isopar and isododecane, it will act as a thickener and add hardness and slip to formulations.

Orange Wax is an all-natural semi-solid wax derived from the orange peel through our proprietary process. Its chemistry is similar to anhydrous lanolin and functions well as an emollient with an excellent skin feel. Kester Wax LWS is a high molecular weight natural ester blend designed to mimic the chemical and physical properties of lanolin wax. This vegan alternative is a true replacement allowing for one-to-one substitutions in cosmetic formulations.

Acid-Free Candelilla, or Cetearyl Candelillate, is a derivative of Candelilla Wax. In cosmetics it provides a low potential for interaction with other cosmetic raw materials. Acid-Free Candelilla is highly compatible, inhibits crystallization and acts as a gellant. In addition, it provides water repellent, moisturizing and film forming properties.

Koster Keunen manufactures Behenyl Beeswax by modifying our beeswax to produce a behenyl ester in order to make it less crystalline. Behenyl Beeswax has a wide range of oil gelling capabilities beyond standard beeswax.

Kester Wax K-56, a plant based monoester, is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. Koster Keunen provides it as a slip agent to use for structuring cosmetic and personal care anhydrous systems.

Behenyl Alcohol 2275 is a white, waxy solid with a minimum concentration of 70-80 percent of behenyl alcohol. This behenyl alcohol blend was produced to reduce the crystalline structure which enhances the functionality.

Kester Wax K-EM2 is an ester of ethylene glycol and Montan Acid Wax approved by the German Pharmacopeia (DAB) for use in coatings, as a retarding agent, in tablet binding, and is a strong gelling agent in anhydrous products.

Kester Wax BK-40, a high molecular weight branched ester, mimics the textures of butters and hydrogenated chemistries without the oxidation and rancidity issues. Synthetic Beeswax 122 is a Synthetic Beeswax 122 is a cost-effective replacement to beeswax designed and manufactured by Koster Keunen. This is achieved by blending a mixture of fatty acid esters, fatty acids and alcohols from a non-animal raw material source, so as to very closely meet the chemical composition of natural beeswax. This product is recommended for creams, lotions, cold creams, and depilatories.

Koster Keunen has created this unique emulsifying carnauba wax that allows for simplification in formulating emulsions. The high molecular weight monoester added to the carnauba eliminates the stabilization issues of straight carnauba in an emulsion.

Cetyl Esters wax is a naturally derived ester made up of a mixture of saturated fatty alcohols and fatty acids. It meets the monograph of the US Pharmacopeia and can be used in OTC products and topical pharmaceuticals. Cetyl Esters is used primarily to thicken emulsions while acting as an emollient for improved feel.
