Koster Keunen has combined nature and science by reacting high molecular weight monoesters of natural waxes to form this compound. This emulsifier has been designed for O/W systems with a medium to long break for luxurious emulsions regardless of viscosity. This product is naturally derived and PEG free, and will work easily in both natural and conventional systems. Koster Keunen Sunflower Wax is a vegetable wax obtained from the winterization of sunflower oil. This wax consists of long chain, saturated C-42 to C-60 esters. These esters correlate to hardness, crystalline structure, and a high melting point. It functions as a strong gellant and consistency modifier in sticks and emulsions.

Kostol Natural E is a PEG-free, natural, plant-based emulsifier. It can add viscosity to the system due to its behenyl base and delivers white emulsions. This strong O/W emulsifier is used for creams, lotions, hair pomades, surfactant systems, foundations, and mascaras.

Kostol IBT 50A is a behentrimonium methosulfate and cetearyl alcohol emulsifier with a 50% active level. This standard emulsifier is manufactured in the USA by Koster Keunen.

Organic Vegan Emulsifying Wax is a blend of certified organic raw materials that produce emulsions over a wide range of concentrations acting as the primary or secondary emulsifier. This product is certified under the USDA’s National Organic Program (7 CFR part 205).

Kester Wax K-56, a plant based monoester, is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients. Koster Keunen provides it as a slip agent to use for structuring cosmetic and personal care anhydrous systems.

Koster Keunen has created this unique emulsifying carnauba wax that allows for simplification in formulating emulsions. The high molecular weight monoester added to the carnauba eliminates the stabilization issues of straight carnauba in an emulsion.

Orange Wax is an all-natural semi-solid wax derived from the orange peel through our proprietary process. Enhans PE-65 is a mixture of polymers with unique formulating advantages. Enhans PE-65 is used as a thickener and viscosity modifier, it imparts hardness and slip, is a melt point modifier and a gelling agent.Enhans PE-65 can be used to boost SPF values in sunscreens, thicken and structure color cosmetics, and works as a tremendous gelling agent. Use in lipsticks, sticks, anhydrous color formulations, creams and butters, or any product with sunscreen.

PEG Carnauba is a polyethylene glycol derivative of natural Type 1 yellow carnauba wax. Formulators use it as a thickening agent for film forming and emulsifying. It imparts a non-greasy feel to your formulations and gives the final product additional slip feel. PEG Carnauba, a cost effective raw material, provides superior stability. It is film forming and imparts a non-waxy feel when compared with other conventional cosmetic ingredients. In emulsion systems, the high molecular weight monoesters (> C-60) are popular for their film forming and barrier properties. Monoesters are very easy to stabilize using PEG Carnauba.

Behenyl Alcohol S75 is a white, waxy solid that functions as a thickener, binding agent, solubilizer and gellant for low viscosity fluids. This behenyl alcohol contains a small amount of fatty alcohols for unique properties while formulating.

Kostol IBT is an emulsifying wax based on quaternary ammonium salt. This emulsifier produces thick and creamy emulsions that feel light and hydrating on the skin with 3-5% only usage levels. By putting this emulsifier in salt form it will dissolve in water, and because it is cationic it is attracted to the hair – making it the perfect ingredient for shampoos and conditioners, as well as a host of other personal care products.

PEG-8 Beeswax is the result of the esterification of the free fatty acids of beeswax with polyethylene glycol. The outcome of this process is a light colored wax with self-emulsifying properties and improved oil gelling capabilities designed to be used in all cosmetic applications. Kostol IBT-50 is a highly concentrated cationic emulsifying wax. Kostol IBT-50 works at low usage levels producing ideal hair conditioning properties. Our Kostol IBT-50 has been deodorized to have a very low odor which will reduce a formulations requirement for high loading of fragrances. Kostol IBT-50 produces emulsions with creamy and thick consistency.

Synthetic Beeswax 122 is a Synthetic Beeswax 122 is a cost-effective replacement to beeswax designed and manufactured by Koster Keunen. This is achieved by blending a mixture of fatty acid esters, fatty acids and alcohols from a non-animal raw material source, so as to very closely meet the chemical composition of natural beeswax. This product is recommended for creams, lotions, cold creams, and depilatories.

Koster Keunen knows that formulators need an option other than candelilla wax due to the issues and shortages in that market. We have developed this alternative to mimic the major and minor components of candelilla in cost effective way. Candelilla Wax Alternative can be used in any formula looking to replace candelilla wax. Uses include color cosmetics, hair and skin care. There is compatibility with all types of systems including anhydrous formulas, lip sticks, balms, pomades, emulsions and sunscreens.

Koster Keunen has designed this synthetic alternative to duplicate the physical and chemical properties of natural Japan Wax.

Kostene C-30 is a low molecular weight polyethylene. When used in conjunction with volatile oils and solvents such as cyclomethicone, isopar and isododecane, it will act as a thickener and add hardness and slip to formulations.

Enhans CY-62 is a candelilla derivative designed by Koster Keunen for use in personal care formulations. The combined natural chemistry with silicone allows for a highly compatible compound in all formulations.

Kester Wax BK-40, a high molecular weight branched ester, mimics the textures of butters and hydrogenated chemistries without the oxidation and rancidity issues. It is hard and brittle with a low melt point. These attributes impart a creamy texture and help to improve skin moisture without adding greasiness like many butters.

Kostol BAQ is a new emulsifying wax that is a blend of high molecular weight fatty alcohols possessing strong emulsifying properties when combined with Quats and Beheneth-5. Only three percent (3-4%) of Kostol BAQ in water produces emulsions with creamy consistency.

Koster Keunen manufactures Behenyl Beeswax by modifying our beeswax to produce a behenyl ester in order to make it less crystalline. Behenyl Beeswax has a wide range of oil gelling capabilities beyond standard beeswax.
