KURARAY POVAL™ 22-88 is a partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade by Kuraray. It exhibits good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It offers good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It is designed for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It is used as an adhesive promoter. It can be added to polymer emulsion to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. KURARAY POVAL™ 22-88 is recommended for use in postage stamps and labels.
