About Us

"La Crosse Milling Company founded over half a century ago in La Crosse, WI, and relocated to our current site in Cochrane in 1947. Starting as a custom grinder for area farmers, La Crosse Milling has been committed to meeting customer requirements since its beginning. Located near a large oat growing region, oat processing has been an integral part of the company’s business for decades. Today, the company operates two plants in Cochrane; processing oats, wheat, barley and corn for food ingredients and for animal feed. Positioned in both the food and feed markets places the company in a unique niche; one that provides the opportunities for growth well into the 21st century. With the prime oat growing region of Southeastern Minnesota in our backyard and direct rail access to the other major oat production regions, we are able to select the highest quality oat nature can provide for your oat products."
