Merquat™ 280NP Polymer is an aqueous, cationic copolymer that demonstrates ampholytic characteristics and is nonpreserved. The polymer has excellent stability in extreme pH applications, making it ideally suited for use in high-pH products as well as shampoos. Merquat 280NP polymer is also recommended for ethnic hair care, hair color, and depilatories.

Glucam™ P-10 humectant is a propoxylated methyl glucose ether derived from natural sources. Quatrex™ S conditioning agent is a 26% solids, soybean oil-derived, liquid cationic surfactant exhibiting excellent substantivity and conditioning properties. Its anionic compatibility is ideal for formulating true conditioning shampoos. Hydramol™ PGPL ester is a very mild and completely water-soluble ester. In alcohol-based systems, Glucam™ P-20 humectant reduces the stinging effect alcohol can have on the skin. Furthermore, it acts as a fixative in fragrance-containing formulations by reducing the volatilization of high notes. Promulgen™ D nonionic emulsifier is ethoxylated cetearyl alcohol compounded with cetearyl alcohol. It is 100% active and is supplied as a waxy solid. Its excellent stability at pH levels of 3–12 makes it particularly useful in applications such as depilatories. Also, due to its viscosity-building properties, it is recommended for use in hair relaxers and conditioners.
