OPTIM® enhances properties of polymer compounds thus enabling their increased adoption in automotive, wire & cable, wood plastics composites, flexible packaging, white goods and recycling industries.

VISIOMER® Specialty Methacrylates offer an innovative way to customize product properties for various end use applications. With a range of alkyl/aryl (meth)acrylates, aminofunctional monomers, methacrylamides, ether methacrylates, crosslinkers, HEMA for contact lenses, wet adhesion monomers and specialty intermediates, VISIOMER® has become a trusted partner in designing customized products to meet specific needs.

DIACARNA™ is a copolymer of α-olefin and maleic anhydride. Applications include as a compounding additive for resin mold lubricant and release agent, compatibilizer and as a binder for thermal transfer inks.

GENIOPLAST® from WACKER are silicone-based additives and production aids for both standard thermoplastics and engineering plastics. GENIOPLAST® pellets and GENIOPLAST® additives for wood plastic composites (WPCs) enhance processes and products in the melt-processing industry.

NOVIS™ enhances properties of polymer compounds thus enabling their increased adoption in automotive, wire & cable, wood plastics composites, flexible packaging, white goods and recycling industries.

Basonat® polyisocyanates are crosslinkers for two-component Polyurethane coatings for the automotive and industrial coatings industry. Basonat® harderners have an influence on the curing time of the systems.

Accelerator additive for unsaturated polyesters and pot life stabilizers for two-component PU systems

Baxxodur® curing agents are available as cycloaliphatic amines and as polyether amines. They are used as hardeners in the formulation of polyurethane composites. Depending on the requirements BTC’s curing agents allow long work-life (1-2 days), fast cure at elevated temperatures (100 – 180°C), excellent high temperature properties and chemical resistance, and good adhesion on metals.

WARADUR® montan waxes are used as high performance additives in the plastics industry, due to their unique properties and versatility. Montan wax derivatives serve for example as combined external and internal lubricants, dispersing agents and surface improvers in many types of plastics and processing methods. They are therefore particularly valued for technically challenging tasks in the engineering plastics field where high demands are placed on functionality, optical appearance and cycle time reduction. WARADUR® montan waxes in addition also provide excellent lubricating and mold release properties for thermosets.

POLYSORB® PA is a high purity grade of isosorbide grade under pellets form (POLYSORB® PA). It offers valuable solutions to performance materials markets: polyesters, composites and coatings, polyurethanes, etc.

The SILRES® brand comprises a wide range of silicones for coatings, paints and construction applications. The portfolio has been developed and continuously improved since the 1950's when the first silicone resins for building protection originated in WACKER laboratories. BindEX enhances properties of polymer compounds thus enabling their increased adoption in automotive, wire & cable, wood plastics composites, flexible packaging, white goods and recycling industries.

Dispex® dispersing agents are used to wet and stabilize pigments and other particles in pigmented coatings. For formulators they represent an essential component as they provide color strength, gloss, viscosity, stability and prevent sedimentation of particles. They find application in automotive & industrial coatings, furniture & floorings coatings, inks & printing, exterior & interior coatings, wood & trim coatings, and compsites. Additives like our Dispex® range of dispersing agents are used to stabilize the filler distribution within paints and coatings. For paint producers, they represent an essential component as they provide. They can also be used as agrochemical additives (dispersants) for seed treament.

VINNEX® is WACKER’s trade name for a polyvinyl acetate-based additive system for compatibilizing different biopolymers with one another, so allowing a new generation of bioplastics to be formulated. Moreover, VINNEX® simplifies processing by traditional methods.

JetFil® portfolio meets increasingly demanding impact resistance and dimensional stability specifications for automotive applications such as bumpers and body panels. The JetFil® product range features the finest and most efficient grades from the Magris Talc portfolio for automotive applications. When the melt flow of TPOs is increased, impact strength tends to drop. The impact strength of talc-reinforced polyolefins is directly linked to the particle size distribution of the talc and to how it disperses in the matrix. To overcome any density issues due to their ultrafine grind, JetFil® talcs are produced in compacted form to increase bulk density and allow maximum compounding throughput. Their compaction level has been adjusted to provide an optimum handling/ redispersion balance.
