INDUPHON® acoustic foam is a noise-absorbing material made of modified PUR foam.

INDUPHON

MAYSER BLUEFOAM® is an innovative polyurethane foam which is pleasant to touch and is extremely color-fast. These special characteristics mean the material is predestined for applications in the textile, clothing, and cosmetics industries as well as in technical products. Some of the most important product requirements for foams used in textile applications include shape and color retention as well as being skin-friendly. Mayser has ensured it meets these requirements with MAYSER BLUEFOAM® – its innovative development. The PUR foam on a polyether or polyester basis not only meets the strict human-ecological requirements of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate (15.0.72104 Hohenstein HTTI) for products with skin contact. It is also particularly pleasant to the touch, is breathable, wash-resistant, and features particularly high color-fastness: white stays white. Adding special additives can give the foam additional properties, for example being temperature regulating. Apart from textile and technical applications, MAYSER BLUEFOAM® has been further developed for medical and orthopedic technology applications. The material needs to be biocompatible for these applications and must not have any negative impact on cell growth, i.e. it needs to be cytotoxically safe. MAYSER BLUEFOAM® passes the biocompatibility tests, which is known as the “In-vitro-cytotoxicity test” according to ISO 10993-5, the "tests for skin sensitivity" according to ISO 10993-10 (OECD TG 442C-DPRA and 442D-ARE-Nrf2) and the "test for irritation" according to ISO 10993-23. This makes BLUEFOAM® DG-T absolutely suitable, especially for applications with long-lasting skin contact. The most recent development projects in medical technology are working towards using MAYSER BLUEFOAM® DG-T (Derma Grade) as sensor carriers, known as wearables.

MAYSER BLUEFOAM® LO-M 4275 is a polyurethane coated foam with outstanding characteristics. It is used for the structure of steering wheel heating systems on the basis of EPDM as haptics and laminating foam. Its high light fastness enable further uses inside the vehicle. Modified polyurethane-polyether foams are used as laminating foams for interior parts with real or artificial leather lamination. With our production method, foam surfaces are finished to enable even application and use of adhesive. This prevents the typical “orange-peel surface formation” when the sewn coverings are glued onto the carriers and gives finished components a high quality surface structure.

MAYSER BLUEFOAM® F LO-M 4275 F is a polyurethane coated foam with outstanding characteristics. INDUPHON® S/C acoustic insulation consists of acoustically effective foams that are used in the construction of vehicles and machines to absorb airborne sound. Materials and surfaces define the acoustic absorption in different frequency ranges and also fulfill other requirements. INDUPHON® acoustic foam is a sound-absorbing material made of modified PUR foam. The selection of special foam and surface qualities allows adaptation of the ab- sorption behavior to a specific frequency range. Oil and water repellent, special colors on request.

INDUPHON® S/C

INDUPHON® S/Quadro acoustic insulation consists of acoustically effective foams that are used in the construction of vehicles and machines to absorb airborne sound. Materials and surfaces define the acoustic absorption in different frequency ranges and also fulfill other requirements. INDUPHON® acoustic foam is a sound-absorbing material made of modified PUR foam. The selection of special foam and surface qualities allows adaptation of the ab- sorption behavior to a specific frequency range. Its a composite foam up to RG 100.

INDUPHON® VB/Vlies
