Silquest™ A-189 silane chemically bonds reinforcing minerals such as silica, clay, mica and talc to the polymer matrix. This silane is especially useful in sulfur-cured and metal oxide-cured elastomers. It can be used as a pretreatment on minerals or added at the time of compounding.Improvement in mineral-filled elastomer properties, including modulus, tensile and tear strength, heat buildup, abrasion resistance, resilience, compression set and cure time may be achieved with Silquest™ A-189 silane (gamma-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane).

Momentive Performance Materials SF1540 Silicone Fluid is a translucent, polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane silicone in D5, optimized to stabilize water-in-oil emulsions. It may provide a light, silky, non-greasy feel and is useful in clear antiperspirant gels and water-in-oil sunscreens. SF1540 imparts a soft silky afterfeel, enhances water repellency and increases durability. It is recommended for antipersiprants, creams and lotions, sunscreens, color products, pigmented dispersions, shampoos, conditioners, and hair styling products.

Silblock™ F Polysiloxane Emulsion is a waterborne, solvent-free, polysiloxane additive for use in waterborne paint formulations to enhance performance and durability. It is an excellent candidate to consider for use in exterior and interior architectural paints. Paints containing Silblock F emulsion typically demonstrate improved resistance to UV, water, alkali and efflorescence. Additionally, durability of color retention and water resistance can be extended by 50% or more. Silblock F emulsion can be added during paint manufacturing or premixed with the existing binder emulsion.

Momentive Performance Materials Silquest™ A-1106 silane is most often used in aqueous systems where the alcohol of hydrolysis causes instability of the formulation or where a high flash point additive is required. The product also reduces volatile organic content (VOC) and does not contain hazardous air polluting substances (HAPS). These benefits are particularly useful to manufacturers seeking to reduce emissions from their water-borne products and processes.

Silsoft™ 900 Conditioning Agent is a copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and polyethylene/polypropylene-oxide that may offer solubility in water and lower alcohols. It may provide light conditioning in shampoos, small bubble size and richness in foam and flexible hold and rinseability in hair. This product is recommended for emulsification and dispersion of actives.

As a cycloaliphatic epoxy silane, CoatOSil™ 1770 silane can deliver crosslinking in latex under room or elevated temperature cure conditions. Through crosslinking, CoatOSil™ 1770 silane can improve the solvent, stain and weather resistance of the final coating.

LIM™ 6010 liquid silicone rubber is a two-component product formulated for use in liquid injection molding to produce elastomeric parts where low-durometer is a key requirement. LIM6010 elastomer is clear, but easily pigmentable with Momentive masterbatch colors. The combination of low-durometer and non-tackiness allows the product to be used in such consumer goods applications as corn pads and heel inserts, where 'soft touch' sensory characteristics are important. LIM6010 elastomer offers a convenient 1:1 mix ratio and releases easily from molds. LIM™ 6010

Tufel™ II 94205 and 94305 Rubber Compounds are 20 and 30 durometer low volatile, fast-cure, addition cured silicone elastomers for molding. Silsoft™ Spread TT is a non-ionic organomodified siloxane copolymer, can reduce the surface tension of personal care formulations providing the superspreading of actives and inorganic pigments on skin and hair. Silsoft™ Spread TT fluid is typically stable in the aqueous phase from pH 2 - 12. This product has use in a wide range of applications such as hair coloring, sunscreens, facial cleansers, and anti-perspirants.

Silquest™ A-1120, N(beta-aminoethyl) gamma-aminopropyltrimethoxy- silane, and Silquest™ A-2120, N(beta-aminoethyl) gamma aminopropylmethyldimethoxy-silane, are diaminofunctional silanes that may be used over a broad range of applications. They are used to promote the adhesion of amino-reactive resins such as silicone, silylated polyurethane, two-part urethanes and two-part epoxies to inorganic surfaces, plastic surfaces, and inorganic fillers or reinforcements.

Silopren™ LSR 3386/40 is a two-component liquid silicone rubber for injection molding processes. This material is an excellent candidate to consider for the manufacture of elastomeric articles requiring self-lubricating properties. The self-lubricating effect is achieved by a fluid which exudes out of the vulcanizate over an extended period of time. It typically starts between a few hours and one day after vulcanization. Silopren™ LSR 3485/50 is a two-component liquid silicone rubber for injection molding processes. This material is an excellent candidate to consider for the manufacture of elastomeric articles requiring self-lubricating properties. The self-lubricating effect is achieved by a fluid which exudes out of the vulcanizate over an extended period of time.
