SeaLife™ Kelp Meal for Soils is a slow-release kelp meal soil conditioner made from the seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum. We harvest the seaweed from the idyllic waters of the Maine coast and dry it at low temperatures to preserve its valuable vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, and carbohydrates. Repeated applications will gradually improve soil texture, structure, aeration, and water and nutrient holding capacity as SeaLife provides the organic matter and nutrients necessary for a healthy soil microbial community. A healthy soil microbial community increases fertility and makes essential amino acids available to plants, while also suppressing the growth of other potentially harmful microbes.
