Materials made of MATER-BI, which is obtained by means of pioneering proprietary technologies using starches, cellulose, vegetable oils and their combinations, are made by an integrated value chain involving three Italian production facilities. In keeping with our bioeconomy model, understood as territorial regeneration, uncompetitive industrial sites have been converted into innovative plants.

Its approach is cultural as well as industrial and can create jobs and competitiveness, enhancing local skills and implementing training programs at all levels.

Mater-Bi  is our innovative family of biodegradable and compostable bioplastics , developed thanks to thirty years of research and innovation to provide solutions to specific environmental problems reconciling quality and performance of products with the efficiency of resource use.  The materials in MATER-BI , obtained from a series of proprietary technologies and first in the world in the field of starches, cellulose, vegetable and their combinations, are realized through an integrated production chain that involves three Italian production sites oils. These sites, in line with our bioeconomy model understood as territorial regeneration, have been revitalized in innovative industrial plants.

The Mater-Bi has characteristics and properties of use very similar to traditional plastics but is both biodegradable and compostable in accordance with European standard EN 13432 , the most important technical reference for material manufacturers, public authorities , composters, certifiers and consumers.

The Mater-Bi has characteristics and properties of use very similar to traditional plastics but is both biodegradable and compostable in accordance with European standard EN 13432 , the most important technical reference for material manufacturers, public authorities , composters, certifiers and consumers.
