You are not wrong, but it is also a great emollient for skin & hair care products. It is rich in essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid (omega 6) which is great for the body internally & externally. We are nuts about Brazil Nut Oil! O&3 presents Brazil Nut Oil, Cold Pressed Organic. Collected from one of the largest trees in Peru, this oil is produced from its wild harvested nuts. Brazil nuts themselves have a high oil content and once extracted delivers good solid skin food. The oil itself is popular in skin and hair care applications. Just like most nut oils its fatty acid profile is a great source for delivering shiny, healthy hair and skin cell regeneration. Rich in omega 6 & 9, it is of no surprise you will find it in many a shampoo formulation.

O&3 presents Rosehip Seed Oil, Cold Pressed Organic (R Color). This particular grade is more Red in color. One of our favorites, this classic ingredient has been building momentum across the industry & for good reason. Wild harvested, this oil is handpicked & then lightly pressed to produce a golden-red tinted oil. With regards to our Canina grade, the hips are dried, cleaned & then lightly cold pressed. Rosehips are known to have a vast vitamin A & E content hence its popularity in formulations. Often referred to as a 'tonic' oil, if it is not in your formulation, we recommend serving this oil just as it is & applied directly to the skin & face. It is a diuretic oil containing trans-retinoic acid which carries many a therapeutic property. It has been used for centuries as a skin cell & tissue repairer hence its growing popularity. You can now see why it is not an oil you want to ignore.

Hydrolats (waters) are the aromatic remains after the steam-distillation process of the physical raw material. Produced by a small community in Zimbabwe, this cold pressed oil is produced by harvesting the fruit from the tree and extracting the seeds from the kernels. The oil has a rich fatty acid profile making it a great ingredient for soaps, moisturizers, lip balms. It is high in palmitic & oleic acid making it a super antioxidant ingredient. It is perfectly suited for a direct to skin moisturizer as an easy absorber of the skin; it is high moisturizing & absorbing, natural emollient which is known to restore elasticity in the skin.

An oil that has saved many a whale life! O&3 presents Jojoba Seed Oil, Refined Organic. Jojoba refined is waterlike (clear) and odorless designed for you to reap the benefits of Jojoba Oil but at the same time not have its natural golden color affect your formulation color. Jojoba itself was originally introduced into the market as a replacement to sperm whale oil. The incredible story of this oil is that the spectacular sperm whales were once harvested (killed) for its spermaceti wax content. The introduction of Jojoba established it carried similar, if not better properties, saving the lives of multiple whales. The oil is a non greasy lubricator; best served in hair & skin care products and more natural product ranges such as for babies. A super hair strengthener delivering shine. A superb emollient, the oil works perfectly on its own directly on the skin. So much so, research has established that Jojoba Oil absorbs so well it can reach the corneal layer via the follicle wall, oils do not absorb much better than this.

O&3 presents Milk Thistle Seed Oil, Refined. This absolute classic is known for its anti-inflammatory & anti-aging functionality. Grown & processed in the wild in Siberia, this ancient crop carries antioxidant properties that transport extremely well into any body/face formulations. A solid base oil due its refined state, with no aroma, you can formulate with this product easily; knowing you are still obtaining its inherent natural antioxidants.

O&3 presents Sesame Seed Oil, Cold Pressed & Deodorized Organic. This ancient raw material has been utilized for centuries & for good reason, it's full of all the goodies that are great for the body inside & out. First of all, the seeds carry plenty of zinc, which is an essential mineral that boosts production of collagen which delivers more elasticity to the skin & aids in the repairing of skin cells. We naturally infuse the Fruit in our Sunflower (we can infuse in another oil if you wish), this is using zero heat or chemicals, just lots of patience!

Blueberries are renowned for their nutrient content so we have tried to maintain as much of this within the final oil by gently cold pressing the oil. Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids.

O&3 presents Vanilla, Infused in Sunflower Oil. We naturally infuse our Vanilla oil into Sunflower oil to deliver you a controlled vanilla aromatic carrier oil. We offer this for those that are not wanting the potency of straight Vanilla oil & of course the higher cost that goes with the pure oil. This oil is a good hydrator of the skin due to its infusion in Sunflower oil, so no issues with absorption. Who doesn't like the smell of Vanilla anyway?! It's a popular choice for formulations such as soap, lip care products, body lotions & face creams.

O&3 presents Rice Bran Oil, Cold Pressed Organic. We offer a number of different grades of Rice bran so please do have a browse. All of our Rice bran oils are extracted from the bran of the rice kernel. This oil is naturally rich in vitamins, tocopherols & the antioxidant, ferulic acid. All fantastic for your skin & hair. This particular grade is Organic & Cold Pressed, full of nutrients for both the skin & internally. Despite being cold pressed, the oil does not carry much of an odor & is very light in color; so it can be used instead of a refined version if you are looking for more functionality to this ingredient.

O&3 presents Soarsop Oil, Cold Pressed. Rising from the ranks, Soapsop is slowly emerging as a "go to" for natural skin care solutions. Also known as Guanabana, Soarsop has been used by indigenous communities in Brazil for many decades, mainly due to its skin repair & healing benefits. The oil is lightly pressed with a high Oleic acid content which is why many are turning to it for its skin repair functionality. We like to apply this oil directly as a nutritious moisturizer. It is a high absorbing, natural emollient which is known to restore elasticity in the skin.

O&3 presents Chaulmogra Seed Oil, Cold Pressed. We love this cold pressed oil. Wild harvested from the Chaulmogra tree, it is a wonderful skin oil. A light oil it is simple to formulate with and carries a high content of hydnocarpic acid, which is a very effective antimicrobial agent, aiding in the repair of skin cells and hair follicles.

Blackcurrants are renowned for their nutrient content so we have tried to maintain as much of this within the final oil by gently cold pressing the oil. Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids, GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) typically 13-17%, ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), need we go on? Its what we call a classic carrier oil.

O&3 presents Peppermint English, Essential Oil. We offer a wide range on Mint oils, so be sure to have a scan of our range. All of our mints offer you the menthol kick you require. Suitable for both food & cosmetics Mint oils are a super addition to your formulation. Peppermint English is the more expensive of our Mint grades, a beautifully minty odor with approximately 30-45% menthol content. Menthol is an organic compound that produces a cooling sensation when applied to the mouth or skin. Try it infused in one of our seed oils, this reduces your cost base and controls the minty aroma profile.

O&3 presents Basil Seed Oil, Cold Pressed. This is a very unique ingredient to the market. This gently cold pressed oil is rich in Fatty Acids. The Seeds of Ocimum Basilicum are collected and then pressed to produce a green seed oil. Do not confuse this with an essential oil - this is cold pressed not steam distilled. A highly nutritious oil bursting with Omega 3, for both internal consumption and also when directly applied to your hair & skin. Herbalicious…. O&3 presents St Johns Wort, Infused in Extra Virgin Olive Oil Organic. St Johns Wort is commonly known to aid in the repairing of damaged skin & healing burns, bites & abrasions. We naturally infuse St Johns Wort herb into our Extra Virgin Olive Oil to control the aroma, but most of all the Olive Oil acts as a super nutritious carrier for the natural herb, which is what makes this ingredient a wonderful hydrator of the skin. The infused oil works particularly well in stretch mark & skin scar formulations. This version is a darker green oil in comparison to the Sunflower Oil version which we also offer. it is also Organic certified.

Grown & harvested from a tall evergreen tree, the tree produces long Pine needles which we then steam distill. It primarily is used as an room diffuser oil as it is an uplifting & purifying aroma.

Citrus alert! O&3 presents Honey Myrtle, Essential Oil. This oil is produced in Australia. This soothing essential oil packs a punch in aroma, just as you can imagine with its sweet honey-lemon like scent. Often used by many to soothe & clear the airways. It is distilled from the leaves & branches of the shrub that grows in Australia in low, boggy territory. The oil carries a high dose of Citral giving it the largest dose of aldehyde out of all of the Melaleucas botanicals.

O&3 presents Clementine, Essential Oil Organic. We love this essential oil for its sweet and crisp odor that can be used to fragrance your formulations or living space beautifully. Used as a fragrance as a stress buster, its potency delivers that slice of Sicily in your own home. We produce this via the peel of the fruit and the finished product is a bright yellow (clementine like) color. One of our favorite citrus products. Its organic too!

A deep green absolute, it takes a lot of effort to produce, approximately 2,300 kilos of hand-picked leaves yield only 1kg of the absolute. Hence the cost!
