"Since 1990 OBI® has developed and manufactured technologically advanced private label skincare and personal healthcare products based on proprietary as well as patented bioactive ingredients from its own researchers as well as its sister company, Therapeutics Peptides, Inc. The 55,000 sq. ft. multiple building facilities in Baton Rouge, Louisiana contain R&D, ingredient pilot production, formulary development, quality assurance, and bulk and final product packaging.

Owen Biosciences Inc. is organized into five groups which represent the scientific/ intellectual property, management and production divisions within the company.


The Formulary Development Group (FDG) has produced hundreds of personal healthcare formulations over the last twenty years.

The BioSynthesis Group (BSG) was established to produce high performance bioactive skincare ingredients for the OBI formulary.


The Product Production Group (PPG) takes the formulations from the FDG and the ingredients from the SBG to produce final products.

The Product / cGMP Compliance and the Marketing / Sales groups complete the team by adding managerial and regulatory support.


OBI is registered as an OTC drug product manufacturing facility by the FDA and the Louisiana Department of Health and Human Services. It is a certified Organic Processor under USDA NOP (National Organic Program) standards and regulations, which allows it to manufacture products that can display the USDA seal. All of the company's operations are current Good Manufacturing Practices compliant (cGMP).

OBI produces proliferative and protective products for numerous dermatologists, plastic surgeons and other corporations based on our technologies with the incorporation of the clients proprietary or patented ingredients into the final products."
