"In 1961, two years after graduating from Villanova University, chemical engineer Ted Flint and a colleague founded Penn Valley Polymers in Phoenixville, PA to manufacture polysulfide sealants for construction and insulating glass.

These talented partners soon developed high-quality products that outperformed other commercial materials available, and business grew well. But in 1966 fire destroyed Penn Valley Polymers’ factory. With no production and insufficient capital to rebuild, the business was sold.

In December 1969 Ted Flint set out on his own, founding Polymeric Systems, Inc. (PSI) in a small, rented building in Pottstown, PA. Like its predecessor, PSI initially manufactured polysulfide-based insulating glass sealants. It was a one-man, one-woman operation: Ted handled product development, production and sales while his wife Debby kept the books and delivered finished goods.

The business grew but was limited in scope because of the lack of product diversity. Then, in 1972, came the first breakthrough."

Polymeric Systems PSI-590 is a colorless, non-staining, single-component primer designed to promote adhesion of PSI sealants to non-porous surfaces. It consists of moisture-reactive organosilanes in a hydrocarbon solvent.

Polymeric Systems PSI-613 is a one-part, room-temperature curing adhesive/sealant formulated for high-temperature applications. When exposed to atmospheric moisture, PSI-613 cures to a durable, resilient rubber with tenacious adhesion to most common substrates, Including glass, metal, ceramic, painted surfaces, many plastics, and rubber.

MIX2FIX FC Translucent Adhesive is a low-odor, two-component, modified epoxy adhesive that cures rapidly at room temperature with exceptional tensile adhesion and peel strength to a wide variety of substrates. Just a few minutes after application it forms a tough bond without the need for clamping.

MIX2FIX FC Steel is a fast-curing, general-purpose, two-part epoxy paste with a high steel alloy particle content (40%). It can be used to make tough, permanent repairs that will be rust free and can be machined like steel.

Polymeric Systems PSI-591 is a reactive polyurethane which promotes the adhesion of PSI sealants, primarily to porous substrates such as concrete. It reacts with atmospheric moisture to form a hard film with outstanding water resistance and high adhesive strength to many materials.

Flexiprene PSI-952 is a one-part, self-leveling, moisture-curing, polyurethane joint sealant formulated to form a permanent watertight seal in both interior and exterior joints in horizontal surfaces. It contains no solvents. Flexiprene PSI-952 cures to a flexible rubber with extraordinary adhesion and cohesion, capable of compensating for joint movement of ±25% of the original joint width. It is capable of supporting foot traffic as well as light, vehicular traffic.

The cured sealant adheres well to most common substrates such as masonry, concrete, glass and aluminum without priming and shows excellent adhesion to most types of plastic.

This product incorporates a blue dye which becomes clear when correctly mixed with the hardener components. Its convenient 1:1 mix ratio allows easy mixing.
